To be launched Huracan sets the tone for the most powerful Lamborghini that is coming to India. Pitched as replacement for their highly successful model ‘Gallardo’, Huracan LP 610-4 is said to be a mid –engine powerhouse on four wheels. Packing in a blistering 5.2 litre V10 engine, the Huracan churns out 600 horses with 560 Nm of torque enough to shy off competition like the wind leave on its competitors like shown in the official video. Speaking of competitors, there are a couple of sports cars that match the same level of frequency and performance as mentioned below:
Ferrari 458 Speciale: Track inspired, Ferrari 458 Speciale is a ‘Limited Edition’ version of the sleek looking 458 Italia. It features unique racing strips that run all the way from the front to the rear, highlighting its performance breed. This is supported by the fact that this particular Ferrari is the most power naturally aspirated V8 engine to be ever built by “Prancing Horse”. Unleashing 597 bhp with 540 Nm of torque, the 458 Speciale provides intricately designed interiors that comprises of materials such as Alcantara and Carbon fibre. 7 speed F1 Dual Clutch transmission on board lets one enjoy the swiftness of this rear wheel drive machine.
Audi R8 V8 & V10: By far a highly potent two seater sports car, Audi R8 is any man’s dream. It boosts of innovation and technology from the four ring manufacturer in the form of an R8. Its carbon fibre/metallic side plates are a highlight of exterior design and so is the inclusion of LED’s - day time running lights that further accentuate its appeal. Based on Lamborghini Gallardo’s platform, the R8 comprises of Audi Space Frame construction which results in its weight reduction and superb performance. Featuring Audi’s trademark Quattro (All-wheel Drive System), the V8 variant caters to 4.2 litre unit that produces 430 bhp with 430 Nm of torque while the V10 provides 525 bhp with 530 nm of torque. Enough to give one goose bumps with its outright performance.
McLaren 650 S: Yet to be launched in India, McLaren 650 S is based on McLaren MP4 12C which had impressed in and all. An off shoot of this performance oriented machine, the 650 S features a carbon composite chassis and is powered 3.8 litre V8 twin turbo engine that produces a whooping 641 bhp of power with 680 Nm of torque. It is propelled by a seven-speed near instantaneous shift dual-clutch gearbox. Looking at figures, McLaren 650 S can accelerate from a standstill 0-100 Kmph in just 3 seconds with a top speed of 333 Kmph.
