17th-Nov-2011: Chevrolet Sonic, the name which expands its contours from a hatchback to sedan, will hit Indian shores in the coming times, as abuzz in news world. Chevrolet Sonic sedan, the spacious sedan will follow the steps of a hatchback version in India which is expected to be launched by mid 2012. Chevrolet Sonic sedan is already present in the global market and Chevrolet displayed the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic at the Detroit Auto Show held in North America earlier in 2012 which can see its dawn in India also. Chevrolet Sonic sedan price settles somewhere around Rs 6 lakh-Rs 7 lakh in global markets. If manufactured in India, the price can be unaltered; however the prices can escalate if a large number of parts are imported. Chevrolet Sonic is a compact sedan with chic lineaments. The car is better known as the replacement of Chevrolet Aveo in North-America. The Spark-inspired cockpit and spacious rear seat are the expected features on board which can be complemented with USB/Bluetooth connectivity, remote start, ten airbags, antilock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, flat folding rear seats and sunroofas these features are standard in the US model. The Sonic sedan can come packed with Fiat’s 1.3-liter Multi-jet diesel engine along with 1.4-1.6 liters Ecotec petrol engines mated to 5 speed manual transmission.
