9th-Dec-2011: Chevrolet India will soon give a BSIV engine to its flagship MUV Tavera. The MUV was carrying passengers only in BS3 compliant cities until now. Once the facelift is out in the market, Chevrolet Tavera will be seen in BSIV cities also. Apart from the new engine, the Tavera will also get a minor facelift with the front end being the main area getting a new design. The interiors too are expected to get a spruce up to make the Tavera feel more upmarket. The common rail turbo diesel engine (CRDe) which the new Tavera will house will be rendered by ICML Sonalika and the 2.0 litre diesel engine will be powerful enough to generate near about 120 Bhp of peak power and 280 Nm of peak torque. All those who are excited about this development should expect a hike in Chevrolet Tavera price also.
