Tata Altroz 2020-2023 news

For the first time since its launch, the hatchback will finally get an automatic gearbox option

The Altroz will be the second premium hatchback to feature a DCT automatic option after the Hyundai i20

The blacked-out Altroz is now more affordable

The DCT variants could be priced at a premium of around a lakh over their manual counterparts

Meanwhile, the mid-spec XM variant has been discontinued

The Altroz is available with three different engine options, and you can even buy a Dark Edition variant, that was made popular by the Tata Harrier

The Tata Altroz, Nexon EV, and Safari all carry benefits on them

Just like the Harrier’s special edition, these variants get a blacked out-treatment inside and out

Only the Nexon EV has been spared from the price hike

The physical controls have been replaced by the respective model’s lettering on the dashboard

With this, the carmaker will have CNG, ICE-powered, and EVs in its passenger vehicle lineup

With no injuries or casualties reported, these cars do live up to their reputation of safety

The Altroz offers the turbo-petrol engine from the middle variant onwards

Altroz iTurbo is the most affordable but the least powerful performance-focused hatchback you can buy in this segment

While the i20 and Polo get a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the Altroz gets a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit
