The launch of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport was delayed too much because of the unfortunate floods in Thailand, but now the supplies have picked up the speed again and the SUV is ready for its official launch in February 2012. Mitsubishi will bring in the Pajero Sport as CBU and is likely to go for the CKD kits if the response is good in the country. The CKD kits would result in Pajero Sport being manufactured at the HM’s plant located at Thiruvallur.

Coming to the technical specifications, the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will feature 2.5 litre of diesel engine that would generate 134 BHP of peak power along with 320 Nm of torque. The engine is further coupled with both manual and automatic gearbox and is said to be highly fuel efficient. The SUV has ample of space and could adjust 7 adults easily. However, talking about the price detailing, the company hasn’t revealed any, but rumor has it that the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will cost you around Rs. 22 lakh. The SUV will directly lock horns with Toyota Fortuner and BMW X1.
