HM mulls to launch new genration Pajero SUV
The HM India has now decided to expand its market in the Indian Auto sector in the year 2011. The company is now looking forward to launch its new SUV Pajero in the market. This new Pajero is likely to be a seven-seater variant of the Mitsubishi Outlander and the upgraded Mitsubishi Montero, a senior official said in a report on Thursday. HM India at current manufactures the Ambassador in its personal vehicle car segment, which comes in the market in 4 different variants, 1500 and 2000 cc diesel engine, 1800 cc petrol engine, CNG and LPG variants. In the commercial vehicle segment the company manufactures a 1-tonne mini load pay truck HM-Shifeng Winner which incorporates 1500 cc diesel engine. The company’s manufacturing unit is located in West Bengal.

The company also has its plant near Chennai where it manufactures the cars in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors, the Japanese company. This plant provides the Indian market with the premium cars like Lancer, Pajero, Cedia, Montero, Outlander and Lancer Evolution X (Evo X). The Uttarpara plant on Wednesday was visited by Birla himself along with the managing director of the company Manoj Jha to give a look on the preparation that are going on for the company’s new launch.

The reports of the company revealed that the company made a net profit of Rs.17.20 crore in the first quarter of the year, last year in the same quarter the company suffered a loss of Rs 19.73 crore. So it is expected that the sales figure of the company will go up with the launch of this new Pajero in the market. Nothing much is revealed in the reports about the new Pajero Launch, but it is expected that the company will not make the Indian buyers wait and will soon come up with this new SUV.
