Proton to enter India by 2011

Audi, the luxury car brand, has yet again proved its prowess in India by registering a growth of 153 per cent this year in November. The German car company has already covered the annual sales of 2009 by selling 256 Audi cars in the month of November, 2010 over last years sales of 101 Audi cars in the same period. The German auto company recorded a growth of 143 per cent this year in the first eleven months. From January-November 2010, Audi sold 2,791 cars accounting for a rise of 80 per cent when compared to the sales of 1,550 units in the same period last year.

Michael Perschke, Head- Audi India said that, the company is confident with the performance so far in this year and believes that it will finish the year with an outstanding sales figure which will help them to end the year on a stronger note. The company is expecting to surpass the sales target set for the December month. Perschke added that this success is shared with the valuable customers and the company's business partners as they admire the sport looks and the company constant upgrading in its technology. The company is sure to continue the momentum it has gained in this year. The company is expanding on its dealerships in Delhi and Chennai by next year. He further ushered on the company's future plans as it has added the company's flagship model Audi A8 L and the new sports car Audi A8 which is powered with V10 engine.

Worldwide Audi AG has broken the sales record of 2008 in the first eleven months, itself, of 2010. From January till November 2010, the company sold almost 1,003,900 cars which has smashed the sales of 1,003,469 units in the year 2008. If the sales of 2009 are compared, the sales shot up by 15.3 per cent. The growth can be credited to the high demand for Audi in China and in the United States of America. Audi is still stable with its numero uno position in Europe & China and holds stronger position in the SUV segment in the domestic car market.

In India, Audi has won hearts of many with its portfolio which includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q5, Audi Q7 and Audi A8, the luxury sports car. These wonderful cars are best known for their comfort, luxury and Audi's no compromise on technology.
