Maruti Suzuki Planning to Launch 4 SUVs in Next Two Years
India's biggest car manufacture, Maruti Suzuki India is planning to launch four Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) in next two years, a media report says. According to a leading business new channel ET Now, MSI is likely to launch a crossover version of the SX4 by the next year, along with the much awaited XA Alpha Compact SUV by 2015.

Besides the above mentioned SUVs, there will also be a sub-4 metre Vitara and a Swift Dzire's SUV version; these two vehicles too are likely to come in India by 2015. Maruti Suzuki India which could not do any wonder with the Vitara, truly needs some good vehicles in the growing SUV segment. And if MSI gets successful in launching these SUVs on time at competitive prices, we are surely going to see the competition at a new level. We have already witnessed the success of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV that from nowhere became the segment topper within 6 months of its launch.
Almost every automaker of the country is planning to launch compact and affordable SUVs in India as they have seen the kind of success Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto has inspected. Soon there will be the much awaited Ford EcoSport, Nissan's version of Renault Duster, Tata Indica Vista D90 Xtreme and a few more.
