The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis debuted recently as the Korean premium MPV that will be on sale alongside the currently-available Kia Carens. Now, Kia has discontinued all variants of the Carens, except the one-above-base Premium (O) trim. This variant is available with all the three engine options, exclusively with a manual and clutchless manual (turbo-petrol only) gearbox. Here are the detailed prices:

Notably, this variant was never offered with an automatic option earlier either. That said, the 6-seater version, which was available only with the top-end trim, has now been discontinued. For reference, the Kia Carens was available with 10 variants: Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury, Luxury (O), Luxury Plus, and X-Line.
Its previously recorded price ranged from Rs 10.60 lakh to Rs 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia Carens Premium (O): What Does It Offer?


Being the one-over base variant, the Kia Carens Premium (O) trim gets just the basics. It features the basics including halogen headlights, eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, LED tail lights and turn indicators on ORVMs. This variant gets 16-inch steel wheels with silver covers.
Inside, the Carens Premium (O) is equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system and a semi-digital driver’s display with a 4.2-inch multi-information display (MID). While it gets the same navy and beige cabin theme as before, the seats get a semi-leathrette upholstery.
Additional features include manual AC, 6 speakers, day/night inside rearview mirror, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and USB type-A and type-C ports. Its safety features include 6 airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, disc brakes on all wheels, rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

All the engines come with a manual gearbox option only. If you want a Carens with the automatic transmission, there is no other choice, but to pick the more premium Kia Carens Clavis.
Rivals
The Kia Carens rivals the Maruti XL6, Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Rumion. It can also be considered as a more affordable alternative to the likes of the Maruti Invicto, Toyota Innova Hycross and Toyota Innova Crysta.
