Verdict
With the update, Honda has plugged the S variant to replace it with a new better-loaded SV variant which increases the entry-level price by Rs 35,000. If you are eyeing the top diesel VX variant, you’ll have to loosen your purse’s strings to shell out Rs 65,000 more. What exactly are you paying extra for then? The straight answer is slight cosmetic enhancements and a BS6 engine update.
The reasons to consider this are still the same -- practicality, spacious cabin and comfort. If these aspects are high on your priority list, the WR-V deserves a closer examination. But if you want a buffet of features, a premium interior and an automatic option, there’s no dearth of options in the segment.

Latest Update: The WR-V is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 17,000 this March.
Price: Prices for Honda’s subcompact crossover range from Rs 9.11 lakh to Rs 12.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Variants: It is available in two trims: SV and VX.
Colours: The WR-V can be had in five monotone colours: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.
Boot Space: The WR-V comes with a boot space of 363 litres.
Engine and Transmission: Honda offers it with both petrol and diesel engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol (90PS/110Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (100PS/200Nm). The former is mated to a five-speed manual and the latter with a six-speed manual transmission. No automatic gearbox is on offer.
Features: It comes equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, it also gets LED projector headlamps, cruise control, push-button start-stop, steering-mounted controls and a single-pane sunroof.
Safety: Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera are part of the safety equipment.
