The All New Chevrolet Captiva Launched in India

Breaking all the speculations around, General Motors have finally launched the much awaited SUV Chevrolet Captiva in an all new avatar in India. The generation next Chevrolet Captiva has come out in three variants, which will replace the current line up.

On the occasion, Mr. Lowell Paddock, President and Managing Director of General Motors India said that the Captiva has been warmly welcomed everywhere because of the style and features it carries. And India being a crucial market for GM, they expect the all new Captiva too to do well here.

The new line up will be as follows

The all new Captiva 2.2 A/T has got the bold wheel arches, 235/65 R 17 tyres mounted on alloy wheels and a sharp line across the length of the captiva make it rugged and better in looks than before. In addition, this carries discreet chrome highlights and a coupe-style rear window, which helps it turn more sophisticated. The rear too has got an all new large tailgate and vertical tail lamps with circular indicators and reversing lamps. Housing a 2.2-Litre engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the all new Captiva churns out 186.5bhp @3800rpm and the maximum torque of 424Nm @ 2000rpm. The features that it carries include remote-controlled tailgate glass, a glove box cooler, a deep centre console bin, a rear centre console storage, cruise control, third-row heating, AC vents for all the rows, electric parking brake, rain sensing wipers and an all new sunroof.

So this one's surely a better car than the earlier.
