Hyundai Cars to Cost More from August
Except the recently launched Creta, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced a price increase across its current product portfolio. The price hike would range up to Rs.30,000 and would come into effect from August 01, 2015.
Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “The price increase has been necessitated by increase of input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs but now we are constrained to consider the price increase in these challenging market environment.” HMIL is India’s largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer. It currently exports to nearly 85 countries across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific. The Korean carmaker’s current lineup includes- Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Creta, Elantra and Santa Fe. Its manufacturing plant is located near Chennai and has advanced production, quality and testing capabilities. HMIL currently has 425 dealerships and around 1,100 service points across India. A few days back, Hyundai had launched the Creta at Rs 8.59 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi).
