This is the most comprehensive update Fiat 500 has ever received since its re-launch 8 years ago in 2007!

Fiat has officially revealed 2015 500 facelift, the vehicle will go on sale later this year worldwide. Although Fiat claims it to be the ‘New 500’ but it's the same vehicle, however, it now comes with added features, updated engines along with aesthetic upgrades. The Italian manufacturer promises a total of 1800 updates in the new Cinquecento!

Starting with the design, the face bears maximum changes, the bumper is new with oodles of chrome detailing, the top-end variant also comes with chrome buttons on the air dam. The vehicle also features new trapezoidal grille flanked by the updated headlamps which are now slightly more slanted. The fog lamps now come with ring shaped daytime running LEDs. At the rear, the taillights are new and are triangular in shape, the center palette is of the same color as of the car. Moreover, it rides on new sets of 15 and 16-inch alloys and for the fickle minded, there are two new colours - Corallo Red and Opera Burgundy.

Like the exteriors, the interiors still remind you that you’re sitting in a Fiat 500, as the cabin is largely unaltered. However, the biggest change or rather much-needed one is the addition of Fiat-Chrysler's 'Uconnect infotainment system' featuring a five-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation.

Moreover, you also have the optional fully digital 7-inch instrumentation cluster with the top-end version.

Mechanically, the Fiat 500 facelift carries the same engine options; Petrol - 0.9L TwinAir, 1.2L and 1.4L; Diesel - 1.3L MultiJet II. Transmission options available are 5 and 6 Speed manual along with the Fiat’s Dualogic Robotized automatic gearbox.

PS: Fiat India will re-launch 500 in the country in an Abarth avatar - 595 Competizione in coming weeks!
