The Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court pronounced its judgment in open court last December. The Honourable Court allowed the Quashing Petition filed by Porsche AG, Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE and its directors and dismissed all the criminal proceedings initiated by Chordia and Precision Cars.

The Jaipur Court's decision marks another unsuccessful attempt by Precision Cars to challenge the lawful termination of its Local Importer Agreement by Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE and the appointment of Volkswagen Group Sales India as the official Local Importer for Porsche Cars in India. It follows the dismissal of another civil case brought by Precision Cars in the Jaipur Courts in 2012, which was pursued up to the Supreme Court of India.

Porsche has always maintained that the criminal proceedings were frivolous, vexatious, and entirely without merit and is very pleased that its stand has been vindicated by the Jaipur Bench of Honourable Rajasthan High Court.

Porsche has the utmost faith and highest regard for the Indian judicial system which has repeatedly upheld the company’s contractual right to appoint Volkswagen Group Sales India as the official local importer for Porsche Cars into India.

Porsche and Volkswagen Group Sales India continue to look forward to growing the brand in India and are excited about the future of the brand in this important market.
