Chevrolet Trax Debuts at Paris Motor Show, to Launch in India as Well
Chevrolet has finally unveiled the new Trax at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, after revealing the official pictures some days back. The 2013 Chevrolet Trax is the first Compact SUV from the makers of Captiva, which will go on sale in about 140 countries across the globe including India. Having the well balanced dimensions of 4248mm x 1776mm x 2555mm (Length x Width x Wheelbase) and Powerful body lines, Chevrolet's new Small SUV is agile and muscular.
Explaining the characteristics of the all new 2013 Trax, MD-Chevrolet UK says,“Trax is poised to make a big difference in practicality and character of small SUVs on sale in the UK,” he further adds,"It is a car designed to meet the needs of this growing market by delivering true SUV looks, practicality, safety and space, with car-like handling and all-wheel-drive."
The UK engine line-up will include a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol unit, a 1.6-litre petrol engine as well as a 1.7-litre turbo-diesel engine. The 1.4L turbo petrol engine is mated to an AWD system and cranks out 140bhp, producing a maximum torque of 200Nm. The AWD system is also available on the 1.7-litre diesel engine.
The 1.7-litre diesel engine will deliver a power output of 130bhp, a maximum torque of 300Nm and will be offered with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. CO2 emissions for the 1.7-litre diesel engine are 120g/km. All powertrains with manual transmission come with Start/Stop functionality.
