Amaze drives Honda Cars India's sales to 63% growth in Aug 13

As they say just one product can change the fortune for a company, and Amaze is that product for the Japanese auto major Honda, which never looked back ever since the launch of compact sedan. Honda Cars India clocked 8913 units' domestic sales in August'13 as against 5,470 units sold during the same month last year, registering 63% of sales growth.

If we look at the overall growth of the company in April-August'13, it sold 49,263 units as against 29,932 units during the corresponding period last year, registering a phenomenon growth of 65%. And credit for this too goes to Honda Amaze, which set a milestone of fastest 30,000 sales in the history of Honda's operations in India. The company also exported a total volume of 556 units in the month of August this year.

Commenting on the monthly sales results, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. VP - Sales and Marketing, HCIL said, “HCIL overall sales volume during August 2013 was quite robust. With the onset of festival season in West and South India, we have tried to maximize the production of Honda Amaze during August to be able to speed up the deliveries.”
