Dilip Chhabria who is qualified in Transportation Design from Art Centre, Pasadena, California in USA returned to India in 1983 after spending a year at General Motor’s Design Center in Detroit. DC Design, his firm was founded in 1993. Chhabria has designed Vanity Van for many stars such as Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan. He has also designed the car used in the movie Taarzan: The Wonder Car directed by Abbas-Mustan. In 2010 he also designed a special version of Tata Nano. DC’s first international prototyping project was done in 1995 for Hawtall Whiting. In 998, first generation add-on body styling kits were developed by them for a range of cars. In 2001, they started production of high-end buses/coaches. In 2009, they launched Art of DC and Toyota Innova based DC luxury lounge. In 2012, India’s first supercar-DC Avanti was unveiled at Auto Expo, Delhi.
The DC brand was on sale in India. It’s famous for its DC Avanti models. The manufacturer 60 Lakh. There is no official word from the manufacturer on its re-entry into the Indian market.DC cars price list in India
