Tata Motors to increase prices of passenger cars effective April 1
Tata Motors has cleared the air that it is increasing the price of its passenger cars barring the people's car Tata Nano. Effective 1 April, the Indian auto giant will increase the price of its cars by Rs 36,000. Tata Motors officials revealed that the decision has been taken in order to grapple with the rising input costs. Several cost control measures were adopted but it did not make any difference however the company is forced to take this step.

Tata Pixel rumoured to enter India
Tata Motors is expected to come with Tata Pixel the European developed car for its Indian buyers. This news was confirmed by the man itself who is responsible to give the country the worlds's cheapest car. Ratan Tata the Chair person did not deny the reports of Tata Pixel coming to India. However he concluded that the car is still in its nascent stage and still a lot of work needs to be done.

Indian automobile sector to be benefited by 2011 Budget
India's auto mobile sector is quite elated with the budget which is announced today by Pranab Mukherjee, India's Finance Minister. On the other hand a hike was expected however, the Finance Minister has spared it from any other change. And this has come as a respite after the increasing commodity prices. The other announcement for the car manufacturers and auto part supplier is reduction in the custom duty on the raw steel. The steel prices are decreasing which will greatly benefit the suto industry, as it will become cheaper to purchase finished steel from the 2 and 3 tier suppliers.
