Honda WR-V latest updates
Latest Update: Honda has unveiled the new generation WR-V in Indonesia, which is based on the Amaze’s platform.
Launch: It is expected to come to India by August 2023.
Price: The new-generation WR-V could be priced from Rs 8 lakh onwards.
Engine and Transmission: Internationally, it houses a 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes from Honda City, making 121PS and 145Nm. The unit is mated to a CVT (automatic transmission) as standard.
Features: Honda’s new-gen WR-V may carry some features from the Indonesian-spec model such as a seven-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto AC, and push button start-stop.
Safety: Its safety net is expected to include six airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESP). Further, the international model also gets ADAS features such as lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam and automatic emergency braking.
Rivals: The new-tgen Honda WR-V will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
