VinFast VF7

The VinFast VF7 is a premium mid-size all-electric SUV and the flagship model among VinFast’s initial offerings for India It was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo and will be assembled locally at the brand’s Tamil Nadu plant. With a bold design, dual motor AWD option, and an extensive ADAS suite, the VF7 is aimed at buyers looking for a premium electric SUV. 

• The VF7 sports an aggressive and futuristic design, with sharp creases and a wide stance that gives it a sporty presence.

• At the front, it features a blanked-out grille, a signature V-shaped LED DRL that connects to the VinFast logo, and full LED headlamps.

• While it features the Vinfast family design, it looks distinctive and will attract a lot of attention on Indian roads!

• The side profile is defined by flush door handles, strong shoulder lines, and 19-inch dual-tone aero-style alloy wheels.

• At the rear, the SUV gets connected LED tail lamps and a sculpted bumper with contrasting inserts.

• Key exterior highlights also include a shark fin antenna and wing mirrors with integrated LED indicators.

• The VF7 has a minimal yet tech-rich cabin with premium vegan leather upholstery and soft-touch surfaces. This helps make the cabin feel a lot richer.

• Rear seats are reclinable, improving long-distance comfort.

• The dashboard houses a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that doubles up as the primary driver’s display.

• There’s no traditional instrument cluster, with data relayed via the central screen and a Head-Up Display (HUD).

• The panoramic glass roof gives the cabin an airy feel, though, this may be offered only on the top-end variants.

Features

• It features a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which supports Google Voice Assistant, OTA (Over-the-Air) updates and has connected car features via C-App.

• Convenience features include a high-resolution 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.

• Other comforts include keyless entry, an auto-dimming IRVM, dual-zone automatic climate control and all four one-touch up/down windows with anti-pinch.

• The driver gets an 8-way powered seat with ventilation, and the front passenger’s seat is also ventilated.

• The VF7 comes equipped with a wide range of standard safety features such as 7 airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ABS, and more.

• Level-2 ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centring, Lane Change Assist and more.

• Rear Parking Assist and 360-degree surround view monitoring are offered for better urban visibility. Thankfully, the camera resolution is high, making it dependable in low light conditions as well.

• The VinFast VF7 offers 537 litres of boot space with all seats in use, and further capacity when the rear seats are folded flat.

• It has a flat loading floor and a wide tailgate opening, ensuring everyday usability and ease of storage.

• The VF7 is available in two powertrain configurations, a single-motor FWD version and a dual-motor AWD version, both paired to a 70.8 kWh battery pack.

• The front wheel drive model delivers progressive and easy to use performance, well-suited to drivers who mainly drive in the city.

• The AWD variant promises enthusiastic performance with a sub-6-second 0-100 kmph time.

• Suspension setup includes MacPherson struts at the front and a control blade independent suspension at the rear.

• It supports AC charging up to 7.2 kW and DC fast charging up to 150 kW.

• In international markets, Vinfast offers a lifetime battery warranty. It remains to be seen if this will be offered in India as well.

• The VinFast VF7 will be offered in two trims, Plus FWD and Plus AWD, catering to both efficiency-focused and performance-oriented buyers.

• It will be locally assembled in India at the company’s Tamil Nadu facility.

• The launch is expected later this year, alongside the VF6, which will be followed by the VF3 in 2026.

• Pricing is expected to be around the Rs 50 lakh mark, and then detailed variant-wise equipment will be revealed closer to launch.
