Will GM India get a smart price for Chevrolet MPV to rival Toyota Innova and the likes?

While the unveiling part is done with, the car manufacturers are now aggressively testing their new car models preparing for the impending launches. General Motors India has not one but three cars slated for a launch this year where the Chevrolet Wuling MPV could be launched during the later part of this year. The new MPV is caught testing along city highways on numerous occasions which only seems to emphasize on how strongly GM India believes in the Wuling MPV and its Chinese partner SAIC to deliver the results in the country.

General Motors has still got the Indian consumers befuddled on two important aspects of the MPV, one the naming it is going to adopt for the Chinese MPV popularly known as Hong Guang locally and the other is the Chevrolet MPV price. It is still difficult to extract what exactly is cooking up with GM India as far as the pricing is concerned as being a Chinese model and the entry-level cars, the GM China partner Wuling is synonymous with. Except for Chevrolet Sail hatchback which does endow a premium look and feel, the Chevrolet Sail sedan and the new Chevrolet's MPV do not hold the potential to trade with the premium models existing in Indian car market.

Would GM India come up with an entry level price tag as seen with its best-selling MUV, Chevrolet Tavera and cross swords with Toyota Innova with the budget price is yet to be seen.  All the same the interiors of the car are far from disappointing carrying the three rows of neatly laid out seats offering enough accommodation for seven –eight passengers comfortably only squeezing out the boot space when situation demands.
