    The Driveless Car is a Reality Now!

    A particular dream that must have been chasing the petrolheads ever since is, having a car that follow their commands. The students of Lovely Professional University have finally brought alive this dream by making a driveless car that rolls on its own. The functioning of the car can be controlled by using Mobile Phone anywhere on the globe. The car runs on both: Automatic mode and Manual mode. This dream car comprises of safety features like child lock system for the automatic mode. If the person sitting in the car wish to drive the car he or she can get the access from the remote seated operator of the car. The car is capable enough to be used in both day and night as the testing of the car has been done in both the conditions for thousand kilometers.

    The students who were involved in the project are Bikas from M. Tech, ECE, Lokesh Ramina from B. Tech, ECE, Rahul Jain of Mech. Engg. and Suvendu of Mech. Engg. They spoke on their achievement that all four of them were happy to know that they have built the future car on their own. The students further added that after imagining their childhood gazettes like Robotics toys, remote sensing cars they decided to make this car with the help of present gazettes like Internet, Mobile Phone, Laptop, C+ language Programming, Micro-Controller Board with ATMEGA 128 IC, under electrical control circuit. The students were boost up by their mentors for this project and have put in lot of hard work and determination in this project. The Chancellor of LPU, Mr. Ashok Mittal said that this is a complete new invention and the project is pioneer in the automobile industry and will be helpful in future growth of the automobile industry.
