The Indian auto giant Mahindra and Mahindra is all readying for the launch of the facelifted version of the Verito sedan, which is being tested currently. On the other hand, the French auto maker, Renault is working on the replacement of the original Dacia Logan which is an affordable car and has been rolled-out in the car markets around the globe under different brand names like Renault Logan, Mahindra Verito in India, Nissan Aprio in Mexico and Renault Tondar90 in Iran. Since its global launch in 2004, 1,110,397 units of Logan have been sold under Dacia name and 1,053,215 units have been sold under Renault name.

The replacement of Dacia Logan is expected to follow the same philosophy of simplicity and affordability just like the original car wrapped in a chic appearance. The car was spotted recently and the spy shots reveal that the new sedan will flaunt slightly larger size than the Logan.

The saloon is expected to be joined soon by a hatchback, a pickup truck, a van and an estate as a part of the Logan range. Also the new sedan will be affixed with au courant engine and transmission line-up which will ultimately make the car more fuel efficient and environment friendly with lower CO2 emissions.

The Dacia brand is finally going to enter the United Kingdom in January 2013 which would in turn pave the way for the Logan’s first ever launch there. The Paris Motor Show scheduled during the fall of 2012, is expected to witness the new Logan with a concept and there is a good chance that the final production model will break covers at the Geneva Salon next year. Not much time will have to be killed before it is revealed that which sedan is better, the facelifted Verito or the new Logan.
