    JK Tyre promotes National Road Safety Week in Delhi

    In association with Delhi Police’s Road Safety Cell, leading tyre manufacturer JK Tyre commenced the ‘Road Safety Week’ on Sunday. Volunteers from JK Tyre will be deployed at various prominent locations in Delhi, between 11th and 17th January to create Road Safety awareness amongst citizens.

    The participants walked from Rajpath to Shastri Bhawan, post a flag off ceremony happened in the presence of Vikram Malhotra, Marketing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Limited along with Mr Vijay Chhibber, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Dr. Muktesh Chander, Special Commissioner of Police Traffic, New Delhi.

    Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra said, “JK Tyre has always been a socially responsible corporate citizen and has made available the organisation’s resources to enhance awareness of ‘Road Safety’ issues in the city. We are proud to partner with Delhi Police in this noble cause, who with their efforts, are making Delhi roads safer for us.”

    This initiative is a part of National Road Safety Week held every January by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to create awareness among citizens. This year, it is being held from the 11th – 17th January 2015 with participation from NCC Cadets and various NGOs.
