Chinese automaker JAC Motors planning to enter Indian market
The Chinese auto giant, JAC Motors (Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd) is planning to enter into the Indian auto industry. A person close to the company's strategy told ET that the company is aiming to sell its vehicles in India.

Recently, the company sent its top executives to India to identify the location where it can set up its manufacturing plant to assembled CKD kits, which will be imported from China. It will be the third Chinese auto brand after Beiqi Foton and Great Wall Motors to enter the Indian car market.
Speaking to ET, a person aware of the company's plan said quoting Jina Kang said, "JAC is looking at leveraging its strength as the biggest chassis manufacturer of China to develop a host of applications for the diverse Indian market".
JAC is one of the top 10 Chinese automakers that sells 9 passenger vehicles and three commercial vehicles. The company is also selling 4 engines (3 petrol and 1 diesel) and 5 different types of chassis.
