    CarDekho's June Car Sales Analysis

    Despite the increase in the petrol price, sales dented do not really seem to have been dented on a Y-o-Y basis as there has been a rise of 9 percent. However, there has been a dip in the M-o-M numbers by about 7 percent.

    - The B and B+ hatchback segment continues to dominate the market. Recently, there has been a massive drop in the number of the B hatchbacks, which closes the gap between B and B+.

    -In the B+ segment, the Swift continues to lead, though there has been a drop in its numbers. The Indica range has also witnessed a dip.

    -The Ertiga is the only other MUV that is closer to the Innova, even the pricing of both are different.

    -The UV segment is one segment that has been a tremendous growth recently. The introduction of Ertiga has bumped up the numbers and the existing percentage.

    -After the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, there has been a rise in the market share of the utility vehicles. The Bolero still being the best-seller UV in the country, with 9,514 units.

    - After selling in excess of 10,000 units in the previous month, sales at Honda have shrink to about 2,000 units.

    - The i20 has outperformed the Eon and the i10 in sales numbers for June.
