Renault Duster A Stalwart Compact SUV

Renault Duster is the product that marks the first modern compact SUV manufactured in India. In fact, it sparked off the compact and crossover SUV trend in the country. So, in my experience the car has been a perfect all-rounder, I am driving the car for 5 months now and totally satisfied with the beast. I previously owned a 2012 Hyundai i20 and Swift but always in search of an automatic car that can replace my old Swift. Many cars had been shortlisted in the process like Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Creta, and Renault Duster. At last, after multiple test drives, Duster was selected among the three and I finally purchased the vehicle. The fresh Renault Duster gets an overall new facia, it features new radiator grille, revised headlamps design and refreshed design for the air intake at the front. However, the overall design of the 2016 model has not been changed and it still retains its old squat stance. The side profile gets modern flared wheel arches and 16-inch wheels. The rear also remains the same except the modified roof rails that increase the amount of support. The inner profile has been tweaked as well. The seat upholstery has been worked upon, power windows along with anti-pinch, multi-functional steering wheel and touchscreen infotainment unit that gets navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Duster is the car that has been known for its capabilities to ride on all sorts of terrains due to its suspension. I have driven my Duster on almost all types of roads and it showed satisfying results all the time. The 109 bhp turbo-diesel is fast and fuel efficient and the AMT gearbox is handy. The car offers 3 different driving modes such as Eco, normal and manual mode. Overall, the car according to my liking is a robust build and a convenient city commuter. It offers outstanding ride quality and comfortable traverse on rough roads. No matter how many Creta and EcoSport you launch, it is still the unshakable car in the segment.
