Toyota Camry 2015-2022 2.5 G

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has finally launched the facelifted version of its luxury sedan Camry in the car market. It comes with major cosmetic updates but the company has not made any changes to its technical specifications. Its petrol variant is christened as Toyota Camry 2.5 G , which is now more attractive. Its exteriors get a lot of chrome touch, which is a big plus point. Other updated features include a big muscular bumper with chrome insert, a large chrome outlined air dam, a new set of fog lamps and new tail light cluster with energy efficient LED design. Its headlight cluster also get chiseled and incorporated with LED lighting. At the same time, the flared up wheel arches are fitted with a brand new set of alloy wheels that changes the look of its side profile. Not only this, the company has made a lot of significant changes to its internal cabin as well, which gives it a modish appearance. The list includes a new instrument cluster, blue mood lighting, subtle revision to the dashboard, a hi-resolution screen for the touchscreen infotainment system and it also gets a digital display between the meters. This facelifted version is also available in new upholstery, which is in a swish beige color scheme. In terms of technical specification, it is fitted with the same 2.5-litre engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 2494cc. This power plant is coupled with a six speed automatic transmission gear box, which helps in delivering 178.5bhp of power output in combination with a commanding torque of 233Nm. The braking mechanism is further augmented by anti lock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist. It is also equipped with vehicle stability along with traction control and hill start assist function. All these features add together makes it one of the safest and modern looking sedans in its segment. It will compete with the likes of Skoda Superb, Audi A3 and others in this segment. On the other hand, the company is selling this model series with a standard warranty of three years or 100000 Kilometers, whichever is earlier. At the same time, the buyers can extend this period by one or two years at an additional cost paid to authorized dealer.

Exteriors:

After updating the exteriors of this glorious sedan, it looks even attractive. The aerodynamic body structure is fitted with a number of styling aspects. To begin with the front fascia, it comes with redesigned radiator grille that has a lot of chrome treatment on it. It is embedded with a prominent company logo in the center. This grille is surrounded by a revamped headlight cluster, which is powered by high intensity LED lamps and it also has a washer along with automatic leveling system. The manufacturer has updated the internal section of this sedan and given it a classy appearance. Now it comes in a beige color scheme, which is complemented by wood inserts on dashboard. Its steering wheel and center console gets a lot of chrome accentuation. It also has ambient lighting for enhancing the look of its cabin and is incorporated with various sophisticated features as well. The cabin is incorporated with well cushioned seats, which are covered with premium leather upholstery. These seats are integrated with adjustable head restraints and a center arm rest as well. The rear seat comes with split foldable function, which helps in increasing the boot volume of car. The driver's seat is available with proper lumbar support and it has 8-way electrical adjustment function. While other seat in cabin also has power adjustment and easy access function. There is no mechanical changes under the hood and this variant and is fitted with the same 2.5-litre, 2AR - FE petrol engine. It carries four cylinders with dual variable valve timing (VVT-i) based technology. It has a displacing capacity of about 2494cc. It has the ability of churning out a maximum power of 178.5bhp at 6000rpm in combination with a peak torque output of 233Nm at just 4100rpm. It is cleverly mated with a six speed automatic transmission gear box, which sends the engine power to its front wheels. It allows the vehicle to attain a breathtaking top speed in the range of 180 to 190 Kmph. At the same time, it will take about 7.8 seconds for crossing the speed barrier of 100 Kmph from a standstill. It is incorporated with an electronic fuel injection supply system that helps in generating a healthy mileage of 13 Kmpl under standard driving conditions .

Braking and Handling:

The McPherson strut type of mechanism is used to its front axle, whereas the rear one gets a dual link type of mechanism. These axles are further assisted by stabilizer bar along with coil springs that gives a comfortable driving experience. It has vehicle stability and traction control system for added advantage. On the other hand, it braking mechanism is further assisted by anti lock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution. It also has anti slip regulation function, which prevents the traction while driving. Its front and rear wheels are fitted with a set of ventilated discs and solid disc brakes respectively.
