Latest Update: Here’s how the interior of the Mahindra XUV e9 will look.

Launch: Mahindra could launch it by April 2025.

Platform: The XUV.e9 will be based on the carmaker’s INGLO platform.

Battery And Range: Much like the XUV.e8 electric SUV, the XUV.e9 has the capacity to house batteries ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh, boasting a WLTP-claimed range of up to 450 km.

It can support a fast charging capacity of up to 175 kW, which takes around 30 minutes to charge up the battery from 0 to 80 percent. 

The new platform will be suitable for both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), while the electric powertrains will offer up to 285 PS for RWD models and up to 394 PS in AWD models.

Features: The XUV.e9 may boast three integrated displays (digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a passenger display), multi-zone automatic climate control, (adaptive) cruise control, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless phone charging, and a premium sound system.

Safety: Its safety kit may include up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and ADAS features like lane keep assist and auto emergency braking.

Rivals: It will take on the Tata Harrier EV.
