The Essence Pro variant was launched recently with prices starting from Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and here are the differences compared to the other trims of the EV
Morris Garages added a new variant in the Windsor EV lineup, based on the top of the line, Essence variant called the Essence Pro. It gets a bigger 52.9 kWh battery pack and a few features that are expected to make it more competitive in its segment. Moreover, it also gets a few design changes that set it apart. Here’s a detailed look at the exterior and interior design changes with the help of 7 images:
Front
At the front, the MG Windsor EV Pro looks identical to the other variants including oval-shaped headlights and connected LED DRLs that look futuristic. It also gets an illuminated MG logo that looks striking, especially at night.
In a true EV fashion, it gets a blanked-off grille. The front bumper has a mesh-like design on its lower portion that is finished in black and gives the EV a contrasting look.
Side
While the Windsor EV Pro borrows the flush-type door handles and black wheel arches from the regular variants, it gets new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that look similar to the ones on the MG Hector and Astor.
Rear
The rear design is similar to the other variants including connected LED tail lights and a Windsor badge below it. However, the Essence Pro variant features an ADAS badge on the tailgate.

Other than this, everything else is the same, including the gigantic 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display and a 2-spoke steering wheel.
The seating layout is the same as the other variants of the MG Windsor EV and the rear bench can be reclined to 135 degrees for maximised comfort.
Features And Safety
The feature suite of the new Essence Pro variant is identical to the other variants, save for the inclusion of amenities like a powered tailgate, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V). Other features include a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 256-colour ambient lighting and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system.
The safety suite now features a level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and is also equipped with 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Battery Pack And Electric Motor Specifications
