Mahindra to bring new SUVs in India from SsangYong
Mahindra and Mahindra has focused set of plans for future. Mahindra seems to have dropped the word ‘No’ from its dictionary. They are on a flurry of acquisitions now that they have already displayed three new cars from its latest conquest SsangYong Motors of South Korea among the 27 products it brought to the Auto Expo for a display. But, this is not where the story comes to an end, Mahindra hopes to continue to develop new SUV products now that it has struck gold with SsangYong.

M&M has already unveiled the SsangYong Rexton and SsangYong Actyon Sports SUVs at the Auto Expo while the domestic car manufacturer unfailingly brought the Korando E also for a display at its pavilion. Not long back, when it was just formulating its plans to make something big in the global car Industry, the Tata Motors and M&M had a rift over the British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover. M&M had given in to Tata Motors when the latter won the bid. Then came the relief to Mahindra and Mahindra in form of SsangYong Motors, the offer which it grabbed with both the hands. SsangYong Motors was then buried deep in losses and Mahindra was a helping hand. Then followed the huge success it made with its latest launch Mahindra XUV 500.
This has turned around the image of the utility manufacturer in India to be a brand that can also capture the attention of cream of the country with its upmarket model. The auto major now seamlessly exports its now flagship model the Mahindra XUV 500 among its commercial vehicle exports to Brazil and South African markets not to mention the South East Asian nations. Mahindra and Mahindra is now weighing the options to get its hands over the Swedish car manufacturer Saab auto who is also near shambles to turn it around just as it did with SsangYong. Mahindra India without giving a breather to its closest rival managed to steal the show with its proven expertise in electric car production with Mahindra Reva NXR and Mahindra Verito electric at the Auto Expo 2012. A compact Mahindra Verito sedan is also in the pipe-line among the future models from M&M.
