It gives a superb smooth driving experience and provides multiple charging options such as DC fast charge, level 2 AC wall box charger, and level 1 portable charger. Latest Update: Details of the second-generation Hyundai Kona Electric have been revealed.
Price: It will likely be priced from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Launch: Hyundai could launch the second-generation Kona Electric by May 2024.
Seating Capacity: It will have the capacity to seat five passengers.
Battery Pack and Range: Globally, it gets two battery pack options: 48.4kWh and 65.4kWh. The smaller one is paired with an electric motor makes 155PS and 250Nm and the bigger one with a motor that makes 218PS and 255Nm. The second-generation Kona Electric gets a WLTP-claimed range of up to 490km.
Charging: Using a fast DC charger, it can be juiced up from 10 to 80 per cent in 41 minutes.
Features: It gets dual-integrated 12.3-inch displays (touchscreen infotainment and driver’s display), a 12-inch heads-up display, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, connected car tech and ambient lighting.
Safety: On the safety front, it gets a 360-degree camera and a host of ADAS features like forward collision warning, lane keep assist (LKA), adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Rivals: If launched in India, it will continue to be a rival to the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3.
