    Q.

It it worth buying HTX 1.5 Diesel over HTX 1.0 iMT Petrol considering the ex showroom price of both thevariants is same and I want a proper manual which isn't available in 1.0 Petrol Engine, and also consideringmy running would be low.

As per your requirement, you may opt iMT variant. The internals of the iMT are the same as a manual transmission, albeit with the addition of an electronic sensor and elimination of the clutch pedal. So, expect similar maintenance cost and life of mechanicals as a manual. The automotive industry thrives on innovations and there’s nothing better if advancements to improve ease of driving can be made available at an affordable price. That’s exactly what the Kia Sonet iMT does. It might sound a bit complicated at first but it takes nothing more than a day or two to become second nature. The driving experience with the iMT is also a step up in comparison to an AMT being smoother and more engaging. Whether you’re looking for smoothness and convenience for the everyday commute or a fun driving experience, the Sonet iMT certainly needs to be on your radar. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

    Q.

Is sonet1.2 engine capable to climb hills

    • on 19 Feb 2021

The 1.2-litre petrol engine of Kia Sonet churns out 83PS of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque and is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is good enough for daily runs, however, it may feel a bit underpowered whilst with full capacity and you'll find yourself engaged with the gearbox more often. If you could stretch your budget a little, then we'd suggest you to go for the more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged unit. Also, take a test drive of the car before making the final decision as it would help a lot in making up your mind.
