Evalia XE Plus 2012-2014 Review
The new Nissan Evalia was launched with great pomp and show. It was surely one of the most awaited MPVs in the Indian car market. The car was launched in numerous variants and Nissan Evalia XE Plus is the second one in the range. This MPV is loaded with all crucial comfort features thereby making it quite an apt one for a big family. The under the hood scenario of the car variant is strong and powerful and the power given out by the engine is impressive. The five speed manual transmission coupled with the engine pushes the car to give out good mileage that doesn't make your budget drifty. The looks on the outside are quite up-to-date. The company has tried it level best to give Nissan Evalia XE plus a nice and chic appearance. The front end of the car looks sporty with the eye-hawking headlamps while the rear profile has modish tail lights with body colored bumpers. The interiors have some basic comfort features like air cooling system with heater, power steering for smooth handling and CD player that makes sure your journey is entertaining and relaxing. The anti-lock braking system adds on to the safety department and makes the car variant quite a good deal.
Exteriors
Nissan Evalia XE Plus has superb exteriors. The conventional MPV design gives the car a very nice appeal. The front profile of this MPV has a chrome grille with angular multi-reflector headlamps and a black air dam. The upper grille of Nissan Evalia XE Plus is further accompanied with a 3-chrome slats and the Suzuki logo positioned centrally. The ORVMs have been given a diamond like shape that is dipped in body color and the door handles are also body colored. Coming to the rear end of the car, it has a very boxy and simple appearance. The tail gate opening is quite wide and would allow the passengers to load-in huge luggage. The bumper on the rear has black color and the tail lights are very nicely shaped along with the presence of high mounted stop lamp.
Interiors
The interiors of Nissan Evalia XE Plus are better than the exteriors part of the MPV. This car can easily adjust seven adults with utmost ease , which shows spacious and roomy interiors. The dashboard of the car comes with a very readable and clean instrumental panel that has audio and AC controls positioned on the center. The incorporated glove box and AC vents are placed intelligently. The three spoke power steering wheel is nice and the bottle holder at ends of the dashboard is very useful in this MPV. The rear rows of the car are very spacious and the rear seats here are available with foldable facility. The materials used in the interiors of Nissan Evalia XE Plus are superior and make sure that it gives a very elegant and sophisticated appeal to the passengers during the ride.
Interior comfort
The comfort level of Nissan Evalia XE Plus rates well on a scale of one to ten. The spacious and roomy interiors are perfect that provides ample of legroom and headroom for all the passengers. The car comes with a powerful air conditioning system that cools down the interiors in just few seconds. The power assisted steering wheel is very smooth functioning and ensures a very impressive handling of the MPV. The CD player is good and makes sure that you have a very entertaining and delightful ride. Further to enhance the comfort of the car more, the Nissan Evalia XE Plus variant comes with numerous features like tachometer, trip computer, central locking system, and adjustable seats .
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, 2012 Nissan Evalia XE Plus has been blessed with a 1.5 litre of dCI four cylinder common rail direct injection diesel engine that has the ability to produce peak power of 85bhp at the rate of 3750rpm along with maximum torque of 200Nm at the rate of 2000rpm. This turbo charged diesel engine has been coupled with a five speed manual gearbox that would give the car an opportunity to deliver a great mileage of 13 to 16kmpl . Being an MPV, the Nissan Evalia XE Plus doesn't letdown when it comes it the performance of the car on road. When accelerated the car catches up a remarkable top speed and goes from o to 100kmph speed mark in some seconds only . One thing is for sure, which is that Nissan Evalia XE Plus are technically sound and a great performer on road.
Braking and Handling
The braking and handling of Nissan Evalia XE Plus is very good. The braking department of the car comprise of front disc brakes along with drum brakes for the rear, which is present in almost every car available in the Indian car market. Enhancing this brake system of the MPV , the car is well equipped with anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution system along with brake assist . This will make your ride safer and controlled. Furthermore, for better handling and driver, the sophisticated suspension system is remarkable. The front axle has Independent McPherson strut type suspension accompanied by the leaf-rigid type suspension for the rear axle. This elegant and superior suspension system helps your drive and ride to be smooth and comfortable even on the rugged and uneven Indian terrains.
Safety Features
The safety department of Nissan Evalia XE Plus is sound and the company has managed to bless this variant with some important safety features. The first up is the anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution system that helps the wheel from locking up when immediate brakes are applied. The airbags are present for the front passenger and driver keeping them less harmed in case of accident.
