This time the car maker did not create much buzz about the launch of the refined Evalia MPV and they have added one more variant, XV in the series. The front fascia of the car becomes elegant with the sleek and stylish radiator grille and some chrome lining around it. Besides this, the radiator grille of Evalia XL Option comes surrounded by large head lamp cluster that looks all premium with the inbuilt high intensity halogen lights . The front body coloured bumper of this car is very large and hosts blackened air-dam. However, front fog lamps in this particular variant are missing. The hood of the car is inclining and the large windshield looks quite contemporary. The side profile of the car also comes with lots of exciting characteristics that makes the posture symmetric. The metal part of the car is more at the sides and neat character lines could be seen right from the front row gate to the rear row window. For maximum convenience of the passengers, the company has availed sliding doors on both the sides. Other than this, the body coloured door handles look attractive and the ORVMs with the same colour are positioned rightly. The interiors of the Evalia go with the image of global Nissan MPVs that cater maximum features along with maximum space to its passengers. The Japanese car maker has tried its level best to make the all classy Evalia XL Option a great car in terms of calibre too. Under the hood it gets the 1461 cc diesel mill that is responsible for great drive. This 1.5-litre diesel power-train churns out maximum power of 84.8bhp at 3750rpm and maximum torque of 200Nm at 2000rpm. Furthermore, the company has mated the engine with a five speed manual transmission. Performance of this MUV is also ok considering the rivals and it clocks the speed mark of 0 – 100 kmph in a mere time span of around 17 seconds. Besides this, it can also reach up to the top speed of around 140 kmph.

Braking and Handling

Nissan Evalia is no doubt a great product from the company and it does well in terms of handling too. Despite its giant size it runs efficiently in city conditions. Thought the car is bit lengthy but still driving it isn’t a big problem at all. The tyres maintain good grip on the road and the power steering also functions in great combination with the speed. Beneath the chassis, the company has fitted McPherson Strut type Coil Spring front and Multi Leaf Rigid rear suspension that ensure smooth ride even on the bouncy roads. The company has focused well on the braking dynamics of the car too so as to make it an overall handy car. With the added front disc brakes and rear drum brakes the car is in perfect control of the driver. The Evalia XL Option variant is also loaded with incredible braking features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
