Maruti Swift 2014-2021 VDI Optional

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has silently introduced the refurbished version of its premium hatchback, Swift in the country's market. There are several changes made to this vehicle, especially to its features and technical specifications. It is available in several trim levels among which, Maruti Swift VDI is their mid range diesel trim. It is powered by the same 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine, whose ECU (engine control unit) has been updated. As a result of this its fuel economy has been improved by about 10 percent to 25.2 Kmpl, which is quite impressive. As far as its features are concerned, this trim is now available with ABS with EBD and brake assist system as standard. In addition to this, its rear cabin is now fitted with split foldable bench seat, which is also equipped with adjustable head rests. This mid range trim gets a refined internal cabin with sporty wraparound on its door panels including silver inserts. In addition to this, its seat are covered with premium seat upholstery, which further adds to its elegance. In terms of exteriors, this trim gets a modified bumper with silver accents on its fog lamp console. Apart from this, its wheel covers are also updated, which gives a refining look to its exteriors. At present, this hatchback is being offered with a warranty period of 24-months or 40,000 kilometers that can be further extended at an additional price.

Exteriors:

This newly launched hatchback series has received minor update to its exteriors. Its front bumper gets a sporty new design with bigger air dam. Furthermore, its also has fog lamps, which are accompanied by silver strips. Its dynamic radiator grille has also been updated with black honeycomb mesh and is embedded with a chrome plated company's insignia. Surrounding this is the vertical headlight cluster that is equipped with powerful headlamps and turn indicators. Its side profile remains mostly identical to its predecessor, but the stylish new wheel covers adds to its elegance . Its door handles along with wing mirrors are in body color, while the A and B pillars are in a glossy black shade. In addition to this, its outside mirrors are now equipped with turn indicators, which provide additional safety. This hatchback has a lustrous rear profile with a radiant tail light cluster, which has brake lights and turn indicators. It has a 'V' shaped tailgate that is accompanied by a concave windscreen along with a high mounted third brake light. Its body colored bumper also has an additional brake light, which further enhances its safety quotient. This hatchback has a total length of 3850mm along with a decent width of 1695mm and a total height of 1530mm. Its has a generous ground clearance of 170mm and a long wheelbase of 2430mm.

Interiors:

The interiors of this Maruti Swift VDI trim is now done up with a refined black color scheme, which is complimented by a lot of silver accents. It also has sporty wraparound door trims, which further gives a plush appeal to the cabin. The instrument panel has several utility functions like driver seat belt reminder, instantaneous and average fuel consumption info, door closure warning lamp, tachometer and driver seat belt reminder notification . This hatchback is also bestowed with modified seats, which are now covered with new fabric upholstery. Its front wheel are equipped with a pair of ventilated discs, while the rear ones have drum brakes. This mid range trim is also fitted with anti lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution system including brake assist , which further improves this mechanism. As far as its suspension is concerned, the front axle is equipped with a McPherson Strut, whereas the rear gets a Torsion Beam mechanism. The Maruti Swift VDI is the mid level variant that is equipped with numerous comfort features.
