Pros & Cons

Pros
Cons

MG Hector
- Looks: Feels premium inside and out
- Space is great with generous room even for taller passengers
- Loaded with good features like a 14-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof
- Strong safety kit with features like ADAS and 360-degree camera
- A refined petrol engine with comfortable ride quality
MG Hector Plus
- Easy-to-drive: Both petrol and diesel engines offer a smooth drive experience.
- Generous cabin space: Puts its wheelbase to good use, offering good leg space even for occupants over 6ft tall
- Good feature list: Offers a massive 14-inch touchscreen, gesture control, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS Level 2 features
- Comfortable Ride: Offers a good ride quality over bad roads and keeps the occupants comfortable
- Good cabin quality: Both the plastics and soft touch materials have a smooth and consistent finish

MG Hector
- The big grille and chrome elements can be too blingy for some buyers
- No automatic transmission with the diesel engine
- Should have had better contoured seats and underthigh support at the rear
- Fuel efficiency of the petrol engine is still an issue
MG Hector Plus
- ADAS is limited to the top-spec trim only
- Incomplete Powertrain: The lack of a diesel automatic powertrain feels like a fixable miss
- Polarising Look: Design, while distinctive, may not be to everyone’s taste. Styling may be too busy for some
- Needs Physical Buttons: Even with the gesture controls, the large touchscreen is still not ergonomic to use on the move
