Hyundai Grand i10 Review

The Hyundai Grand i10 was the most attractive package in its segment when it was launched back in September 2013 It was priced aggressively, looked smart on the inside, had class-leading interior quality, segment-first features and was backed by a reliable after-sales network. While the Grand i10 was offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains, the diesel motor was not the most powerful in the segment - the only downside in an otherwise brilliant package. The Grand i10 facelift has been launched in India just over three years after the original model - it appears to be better in every respect and takes on a vastly improved competition. But is the refreshed Grand i10 better than before and how does it stack up against rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Ignis?

    2019 Grand i10 Facelift: The Hyundai Grand i10 facelift has been spotted testing again, expected to launch in 2019. Meanwhile, Hyundai has updated the features list of the Grand i10’s Magna and Sportz variants. Read more on this here.

    Hyundai Grand i10 Prices and Variants: Prices of the Hyundai Grand i10 start at Rs 4.91 lakh and go up to Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Grand i10 is available in five petrol variants: Era, Magna Sportz, Sportz Dual Tone and Asta; while the Grand i10 diesel is available in four variants: Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta.

    Hyundai Grand i10 Engine and Mileage: The Grand i10 is available with a set of 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. Where the petrol engine produces 83PS and 114Nm, the diesel engine churns out 75PS and 190Nm. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission while the petrol engine is also available with a four-speed automatic gearbox as well. The Grand i10 has a claimed fuel economy of 18.9kmpl and 24kmpl for petrol and diesel manual, respectively.

    Hyundai Grand i10 Features: Features offered on the Grand i10 include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, push-button start, rear parking camera with sensors, and tilt and telescopic steering. The Grand i10 gets dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across the range.
