Gravitas Latest Update
Latest Update: The 7-seater version of the Tata Harrier, which was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as the Buzzard, will be called the Gravitas in India.
Engine: It is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine found in the Harrier, where it produces 140PS of power and 350Nm of torque although in a higher state of tune like the Jeep Compass. It will be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Tata is also working on a 1.6-litre petrol engine that could find its way onto the Gravitas later in 2020.
Features: The 7-seater Gravitas is going to be similarly equipped as the Harrier, with the addition of the third row of seats. These last row seats also get their own blower controls, USB charging ports, cup holders and grab handles for ease of access. Like the top-spec Harrier, the Gravitas is expected to get faux wood inserts, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and steering-mounted controls. Tata could offer a panoramic sunroof in the Buzzard and bigger wheels as well.
Expected launch and Prices: Tata’s flagship SUV will be priced higher than the Harrier. It will be launched in February 2020 and Tata is expected to offer it with a starting price of around Rs 14 lakh.
