Noted as the toughest SUV in India so far, this all new Mahindra TUV 300 has definitely impressed numerous car enthusiasts with its rugged look and 'battle tank' like design philosophy. It is launched in a total of seven variants that are all packed with various interesting aspects. This particular Mahindra TUV 3OO T6 Plus AMT trim is offered with a 5-speed AMT gear box, which is paired to its 1.5-litre, mHawk diesel engine. It comes with a two stage turbocharger that assists in producing 81bhp and 230Nm thus, boosting its all round performance. Its not just the name, which suggests it as the 'Tough Utility Vehicle', but its hard strength steel body shell does makes its occupants feel immensely safe inside it. There are other aspects too, which also increase the security standards like digital immobilizer, anti theft warning, side intrusion beams, and anti lock braking system. Despite of its robust design, it still carries the style and includes some arresting features. The bold grille with chrome inserts, square shaped wheel arches, slab like roof and a massive bonnet all these together, adds to its SUV characteristics. Braking and Handling:
Sturdy disc brakes on front wheels and drum brakes on the rear rims makes this braking system quite reliable. Also, it is accompanied by ABS and EBD to improve this mechanism. Its front axle is affixed with a double wishbone, whereas the rear one is assembled with a rigid multi link system. Moreover, a power assisted steering column is also incorporated, which has tilt adjustment function. It can support a minimum turning circle radius of 5.35 meters.
Being loaded with various practical features, this variant ensures hassle free driving experience. A proficient air conditioning unit is offered along with a heater. This aids in regulating the temperature inside and gives a pleasant feel. There is a cup holder in center console, while both the front and second row doors have bottle holders. Also, it has mobile charging points that are useful for charging phones. All its windows are power operated, whereas the outside rear view mirrors are manually adjustable. A 2-DIN audio unit is also available with a display screen. It supports USB port, Bluetooth connectivity and auxiliary input options. Other key highlights are the voice messaging system and Mahindra BLUE SENSE mobile app. Aside from these, it also includes keyless entry, sunvisors, assist grips, rear wash and wiper, roof lamps and a few others.
One of the main security aspects is its tough body itself, which is made with ultra high strength steel shell that ensures all round impact protection. The third generation crash worthy chassis can survive both high and low speed crashes. It comes with frontal crash sensors and side intrusion beams. Besides these, it is provided with dual front airbags, anti lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution, collapsible steering column, digital immobilizer, anto theft warning, seat belt reminder and auto door locks that maximize safety.
