The country's second largest auto manufacturer, Hyundai Motor India Limited has a splendid fleet of cars and Hyundai i10 is their best selling hatchback. The company is offering this hatchback with 2-years or unlimited Kilometers warranty, whichever is earlier. The buyers can also avail one year extended warranty at an additional cost. This hatchback is available in several trim levels, out of which, Hyundai i10 Sportz 1.1L is the top end variant. It is packed with a 1.1-litre petrol engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 1086cc. It has the ability to to churn out 68.05bhp in combination with 99.04Nm of peak torque output. This mill is coupled with a five speed manual transmission gear box, which allows it to deliver a top speed of 149 Kmph. At the same time, it can cross the speed barrier of 100 Kmph in about 15.5 seconds. It comes with a decent appearance and a number of comfort features for attracting the buyers. Some of these features are an advanced music system with Bluetooth connectivity, an efficient air conditioning unit, remote fuel lid opener, all four power windows with driver side auto down function and many other such aspects. Currently, this compact hatchback is being sold in eight exterior paint options for the customers to pick from. The list include Carbon Grey, Crystal White, Stone Beige, Sleek Silver, Phantom Black, Garnet Red, Ice Silver and Electric Red with metallic finish option.
The frontage is designed with a bold 2-tone radiator grille, which has a lot of chrome treatment, which is embossed with a prominent company emblem in the center. This grille is flanked by a neatly carved headlight cluster that is powered by high intensity clear lens headlamps and turn indicator. The body colored bumper has a wide air dam and is surrounded with a pair of fog lamps as well. The large windscreen is integrated with a set of intermittent wipers. Its side profile is well designed and comes with waistline moldings that enhances its appearance. The door handles and external rear view mirrors are painted in body color. These ORVMs are electrically adjustable and integrated with side blinker as well. The flared up wheel arches are fitted with a robust set of 13 inch steel wheels, which are covered with full wheel covers. These rims are fitted with 155/80 R13 sized tubeless radial tyres, which offers superior grip on any road conditions. On the other hand, the rear end has a windscreen, which comes with a high mounted brake light and a defogger . Apart from these, it also has a radiant tail light cluster, a large tailgate with variant badging and a body colored bumper.
The internal cabin of this Hyundai i10 Sportz 1.1L variant is designed with two tone (Beige and brown) color scheme and blue interior illumination, which gives it a classy look. The well cushioned seas provide enough leg space for all the occupants. These seats are covered with fabric upholstery and integrated with adjustable head rests. The dashboard houses a few features such as an illuminated instrument panel, a three spoke steering wheel and chrome finished AC vents. This variant is equipped with a 1.1-litre petrol engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 1086cc . It has the ability to generate 68bhp at 5500rpm along with a maximum torque of 99Nm at 4500rpm. This single overhead camshaft based power plant is integrated with four cylinders and twelve valves. It is mated with a five sped manual transmission gear box, which helps in attaining a top speed of 149 Kmph. With the help of multipoint fuel injection supply system, which gives 16.4 Kmpl in the traffic conditions. At the same time, on the highways, it can generate close to 19.81 Kmpl that is rather decent for this segment.
Braking & Handling:
The front axle is equipped with McPherson strut, whereas the rear one gets a coupled torsion beam. These are further accompanied by coil springs, which keeps it well balanced. On the other hand, the front wheels are assembled with ventilated disc brakes and rear are fitted with a set of drum brakes as well. The company has blessed it with an electronic power assisted steering wheel, which is tilt adjustable and makes handling convenient even in heavy traffic conditions. It supports a minimum turning radius of 4.7 meters, which enables it to turn even on narrower roads.
This Hyundai i10 Sportz 1.1L is the top end variant in its model line up and it is incorporated with a long list of comfort features, which gives the occupants a pleasurable driving experience. The list includes folding rear seats, efficient air conditioning unit with a heater, electric power steering, power adjustable outside rear view mirrors, all four power windows with driver side auto down function and sun visors with passenger vanity mirror. The advanced 2-DIN audio unit comes with radio, CD/MP3 player, Aux-in port, USB interface along with four speakers .
This variant has a day and night inside rear view mirror, foldable key, central locking system, an engine immobilizer , keyless entry with burglar alarm and seat belts for all passengers. Apart from these, it also has rear window defogger along with a high mounted third brake light and front fog lamps, which further adds to the safety aspects of this vehicle.

Hyundai i10, which was once rated at two stars (out of five) by the the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (better known as ASEAN NCAP), has now just received a star.
