Latest Update: Maruti’s compact SUV will be retailed through the NEXA outlets. The carmaker will unveil and also likely commence bookings for the SUV on July 20.

Maruti Compact SUV Engine and Transmission: Maruti will offer it with a 1.5-litre petrol unit, paired to both mild-hybrid (102PS/135Nm) and strong-hybrid powertrains (116PS). The former will get the choice of a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, whereas the strong-hybrid powertrain will be geared using an e-CVT unit. Its electric motor will have an output of 80.2PS/141Nm with its strong-hybrid powertrain. Power will be delivered to the front wheels as standard. An AWD option will be offered with the mild-hybrid manual variants.

Maruti Compact SUV Features: The compact SUV is likely to be packed with features such as a 360-degree camera, head-up display, a 9-inch touchscreen unit, and a panoramic sunroof.

Maruti Compact SUV Safety: Safety equipment onboard will likely include up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, and vehicle stability control (VSC).

Maruti Compact SUV Rivals: It will take on the MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Nissan Kicks, and Hyundai Creta.
