Faraday says the EV's seats are built to battle the burden of gravity and will have NASA-inspired ergonomics.

Faraday Future, the American electrical vehicle (EV) company, has been teasing its upcoming SUV for quite some time. Earlier in December, it released an image of the front of the car and now it has released a short video teaser named 'Defying Gravity'. The electric SUV will be showcased at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 3.

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the SUV’s interiors that feature brown leather upholstery and individual rear seats separated by a large centre console, and electrically retractable foot rests. Towards the end of the video, we get a top view of the car, where it appears that the conventional rear-view mirrors have been replaced by cameras. The headlights and taillights cover the full width of bumpers. In the video description, Faraday says the EV's seats are built to battle the burden of gravity and will have NASA-inspired ergonomics.

The upcoming car is supposed to be powered by a 98kWh battery which would give it a range of 300 miles (482.2km) on a single charge. Faraday Future claims that its batteries would have the highest energy density compared to any EV in the market. It would compete with the existing Tesla Model X and several other upcoming electric cars like the Audi E-Tron and the Mercedes-Benz EQ. Faraday Future showcased the FFZERO1 concept at the 2016 CES and will unveil its first production car at the 2017 CES. Recently, the company has been in the middle of controversy with its top executives resigning and its finances seeing a dip. So it would be interesting to see how and whether the company delivers on its promises.
