Honda HR-V latest updates
Latest Update: The Honda HR-V has been spotted undergoing testing on public roads. The car was fully camouflage but it was easy to make out form the shape that it was the HR-V. Read more about it here.
Honda is expected to launch the HR-V in India by December 2019. The Honda HR-V received a facelift in international markets in 2018 and is offered with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine that powers the Honda City. The diesel option includes a 1.6-litre diesel engine that also powers the CR-V and Civic. It is also available with the 1.8-litre petrol engine that is present in the Civic.
On the features front, the global-spec HR-V gets premium features like full LED headlights, paddle shifters, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 8-way adjustable powered seats and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Safety features include multiple airbags, hill start assist, vehicle stability assist along with Honda’s LaneWatch camera. It remains to be seen which engines and features will be offered with the HR-V in India.
Once launched, the Honda HR-V will compete in the compact SUV space with the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia Seltos. We expect it to be priced in the Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh price range.
