Renault has achieved a milestone by producing 10 lakh cars in India. The manufacturer recently crossed the 9 lakh sales milestone in over 16 years of being in the country. 

Renault entered the Indian market in 2005 and made its first launch – the Logan – in 2007. However, this sedan was sold in a joint venture with Mahindra. In 2011 came Renault’s first independent car, the Fluence. The premium sedan was followed by the likes of the Koleos, Pulse, Duster, Scala, KWID, Lodgy, Captur, Triber, and Kiger.

Renault and its JV partner Nissan plan to launch six new vehicles, including four new SUVs and two new compact EVs, by 2025.
