    December 17, 2014: Suzuki Motors has officially released the images of new hatchback Alto Kei. The car will first be launched in Japan on December 22, 2014 and then will make its way to other parts of the world. In terms of design, the front fascia of car gets kind of retro look with flat front and trapezoidal headlights.The new Suzuki Alto is powered by 3-cylinder, 660cc petrol engine tuned to develop an output of 54bhp with 63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. The company is also planning a sporty Alto Turbo RS variant in coming months.

  • Maruti Swift

    November 17, 2014: At the 13th Edition of Maruti Suzuki Autocross more than 200 participants took part across various categories at the Buddh International Circuit. Most of the cars blazing on the circuit were were none other than Maruti Swift. Earlier, Maruti,introduced a limited edition of Swift at the ‘Windsong' Music Festival Lonavala, Maharashtra on Nov 14, 2014. The automaker recently launched the facelift version of Swift at Rs 4.42 Lac while the diesel model starts at Rs 5.56 Lac. The dealers have already started taking bookings for the Swift facelift across the country. The updated Swift embraces push start button, reverse parking assistant, new front profile, premium interiors and higher fuel efficiency by 10 per cent. It also gets 3 exciting new colors as Mysterious Violet, Fire Red and Granite Gray. The engine specification remains same but the fuel efficiency is enhanced by 10 per cent in diesel model and 9.67 per cent in petrol models.

  • Maruti Ciaz

    December 1, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has recalled 3,796 units of its recently launched mid-sized sedan Ciaz to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system, manufactured till 7 November. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost, and the dealers across the country have already started contacting the owners of impacted vehicles. For self checking, Ciaz customers can fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the MSI's official website '' to ascertain if their sedan is among the above mentioned vehicles or not.

  • Honda Mobilio

    September 20, 2014 : Honda Mobilio has attracted more than 20,000 bookings in a span of two months of its launch. The Japanese manufacturer already retailed more than 8890 units in July and August. While recenlty, Honda Mobilio adds two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). Adding to this, now Mobilio has a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O). These variants adds a larges 15.7cm touch screen infotainment system with built-in voice guided navigation and it also doubles up as reverse parking camera screen. Apart from this the new trims gets faux wood inserts on the dashboard and front door armrests.

  • Ford Ecosport

    December 17, 2014: Ford has recalled 20,752 units of its highest selling model- EcoSport, due to an issue with airbag issue and corrosion in fuel line. The compact-SUVs covered under this recall were the ones, manufactured between January 2013 and September 2014. All these repairing concerns will be done free of cost at company's dealerships across the country. The compact SUV is being offered with two petrol engine options, namely the 125bhp-1.0 litre three cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine, Fiesta's 110bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder mill, and a 90bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder TDCi turbocharged engine for the diesel variants.

    September 20, 2014: To boost the sales ahead of festive season, Maruti Suzuki has brought the Swift DZire Regalia Limited Edition. By opting this accessory kit, customers can save upto Rs 5010, as the Regalia Limited Edition Kit is worth Rs 13,800 while otherwise it would cost Rs 18,810. Furthermore, the competition in the compact sedan is increasing day by day and so Maruti Suzuki is now planning to bring the facelift of Swift DZire. The upgraded Swift DZire will now embrace majority of cosmetic upgrades such as increased chrome work with bold chrome slat at the front. Powering the DZire is the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engines.

    December 16, 2014: Mahindra and Mahindra has presented the brand new Scorpio to the Khatron Ke Khiladi winner Rajniesh Duggall. Earlier in October, Mahindra & Mahindra had revealed the accessory range of Scorpio.   • Maruti Celerio

    December 8, 2014: Suzuki has announced the pricing of the UK bound Celerio which will go on sale staring Feb 2015. In UK, the hatch will be available in two variant - SZ3 and SZ4, prices starts at £7,999 (approximately Rs. 7.72 lac) and £8,999 (approximately Rs. 8.69 lac) respectively. As the standard features, the hatch will offer six airbags (Driver, passenger, side and curtain), ESP along with air conditioning, alloy wheels, DAB Radio, CD Tuner, USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The manufacturer will also launch the Celerio Auto Gear Shift (AGS) model in summer which is similar to the Celerio AMT available in India. Suzuki Celerio made its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show while in India, the car was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014. In order to refresh the Indian model line-up, Maruti Suzuki launched the Limited Edition of Celerio VXi+. The limited edition VXi+ embraces cosmetic upgrades such as central locking with remote, body colored door handles and ORVMs with side blinkers.

    November 10, 2014: India's most fuel efficient compact sedan Honda Amaze gardens another achievement under its brand by getting its name written in Guinness World Record books in the category of ‘Longest journey by a car in a single country'. Honda has sold more than 1,00,000 units of Amaze and to celebrate this achievement, the company initiated the Honda Amazingly Indian campaign’. The car was launched in April last year and since then it has been a huge success for the Japanese manufacturer. Honda Amaze is the company's first car to be launched with a diesel engine. The car carries a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine and churns a power of 98.6bhp while the petrol model houses 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine which develops a power of 86.8bhp.

    November 26, 2014: The latest offering from Tata Motors - Zest, is getting an overwhelming response from prospective buyers as the compact sedan now attracts a waiting period of six months. Moreover, Tata Motors recently appointed President of passenger cars division said that the home grown automaker is trying hard to shorten the waiting period, ramping-up the production of the compact sedan.     November 29, 2014: Hyundai second-gen i10 (our Grand i10) won the prestigious  2014 Scottish Car of the Year along with Best Small Car in its segment at the annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Speaking of the same, Hyundai has sold more than 22,000 units of second-gen i10 since it went on to sale in UK in January, 2014. Earlier in September, Hyundai India had introduced a ‘SportZ Edition’ of the Grand i10 to celebrate its first anniversary in the country. The Grand i10 was launched in September 2013 and it already has over 1.1 lakh happy owners in India. The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ gets the 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as a standard, the other list of features include bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors too have been upgraded with fabric upholstery and crafted in tones of red. The SportZ is available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel engines.

    December 8, 2014: Volkswagen India celebrates its 7th anniversary in the country and offers special benefits on the Polo hatch. The new 2014 Polo facelift attracts cash benefits upto Rs. 18,000 and EMI on the hatch starts from Rs 8,888 per month. Earlier in November, Volkswagen India has started exporting the 1.6-liter Polo Highline petrol to the North American country - Mexico. Polo joins its twin sibling Vento which was exported there since last year. Moreover, earlier this year in July, Volkswagen India has launched the 2014 Polo facelift in India with a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh. Following the showcasing at the Geneva Motor Show, the manufacturer has finally refreshed its premium hatch after its Indian debut about five years back. The car comes with an engine option of 1.2 MPi in petrol model and 1.5 TDI in diesel model. The automaker will launch the GT variants at the end of this month.     November 17, 2014: Fiat Avventura, the only vehicle that competes with both crossovers and compact SUVs is also an option to think before buying a hot hatch, at least in India (though not stepping on the toes of VW Polo GT TDI). Build on Punto Evo's platform, the CUV (Contemporary Urban Vehicle) lock horns with Ford EcoSport, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo and dare I say, is a better option when compared with the last two. Fiat Avventura is available in three trim levels- Active, Dynamic and Emotion, while the petrol misses out the range-topping trim. Petrol variants of Avventura gets its power from a 1.4-litre Fire engine, while the trusted 1.3-litre Multijet does its duty under the hood of diesel variants. Both the powertrains are carried over from the Punto Evo hatchback without giving any revamp.

    December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year.     December 10, 2014: Continuing with the offers on the Figo hatchback, Ford India is offering special benefit in Goggle's Great Online Shopping Festival - GOSF -2014. The refreshed Figo attracts total saving of Rs. 71,000. The offer is valid on bookings made in between 10th-12th December. Moreover, Ford India has started testing the next-gen Ford Figo in the country.The vehicle is set to launch in the first half of 2015, this along with its twin-compact sedan is likely to replace the Figo and Classic. Apart from it, the refreshed car also features a new dual-tone seat upholstery. Mechanically, it remained unchanged sporting the same 1.4 TDCI Duratorq diesel and 1.2 Duratec petrol.
