January 27, 2014 : MSIL has launched the limited edition version Swift Windsong VXI at Rs 5,14,973 and Windsong VDI at Rs 6,10,246 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The limited edition is only made available in two trims-VXI and VDI. The limited edition model embraces Sony Touchscreen Music System with Bluetooth & External Mic with USB connectivity, reverse parking sensors, rear upper roof spoiler, door sill guard with illumination and ambient interior lighting. The limited edition also gets designer groovy musical themed graphics on exterior, trendy seat covers and designer floor mats on interior. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and features the same 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and 1.2-litre K-Series VVT petrol engine.
April 14, 2015 : HMIL is continuing to test the new gen Hyundai i20 WRC car, which will make its debut in the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship. The focus was on the engine and chassis development, as well as altitude testing as the car has been upgraded compared to the version used in previous tests. The current vehicle will also get a series of further upgrades in a bid to help the team fight for podiums in the remaining rallies of 2015.
May 12, 2015: Maruti Suzuki today announces that they have rolled out 15 millionth car. And became the first automaker in the country to do the same! The 15 millionth car was a Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire VDi (Chassis No. MA3FJEB1S00740865) rolled out from the Company's Manesar manufacturing facility. Earlier in February, MSIL has silently launched the facelifted Maruti Swift Dzire at Rs 5.07 lac while the ZDi (diesel top variant) costs Rs 7.81 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The most selling compact sedan from India's largest passenger car seller is now offered with four new eye-catching shades in both petrol and diesel models. On the exterior, the car now gets single-chrome slat grille, smoked headlamps, chrome inserts on log lamps, redesigned bumpers and new set of alloy wheels. While as seen in its bigger sibling, this vehicle too gets start-stop button, reverse parking sensors, rear power socket, electrically adjustable folding mirrors and a new music system.
April 13, 2015: The Renault Lodgy aims to offer the performance and comfort of a sedan with the space and convenience of a MPV. Best-in-class space with its 2810 mm wheelbase, superior fuel efficiency and other class leading features is what this vehicle brings to the play. It is powered by the famous 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine in two states of tune. The more powerful diesel variant delivers 110 PS of maximum power and peak torque of 245 Nm at 1750rpm. The engine is mated to a first-in-segment 6 speed manual transmission and offers a fuel efficiency of 19.98 kmpl. The alternate variant of the same 1.5 litre dCi engine produces 85 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm at 1900 rpm of peak torque with a fuel efficiency of 21.04 kmpl.
May 16, 2015 : Maruti Suzuki has launched top of the line variant of Celerio ZXI AGS (Auto-Gear-Shift) aka AMT. The Celerio's ZXi AGS trim was in-line for launch from quite some time and the company has finally introduced it on the first anniversary of the vehicle. Earlier in April, Celerio's diesel version was caught by spycams again at company's Manesar stockyard, hinting towards its early launch. The latest spyshot reveals hundreds of Blue color Celerios standing up in queue. The car will be coming with a 793cc two-cylinder diesel engine that produces power output around 55bhp and max torque close to 150Nm. The diesel variant of this model is set to become the most fuel efficient car in the country and is expected to be priced in between INR 4.8 lac to 5.8 lac.
January 15, 2015 : Datsun has launched its sub-4 meter station-wagon Go Plus at an starting price of Rs 3.79 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base D variant. Company has offered a total of four variants. The 'D1' which is next to the base variant is priced at Rs 3.82, followed by 'A' variant at Rs 4.15 lac and top of the line 'T' variant at Rs 4.61 lac. The car is now India's first sub-4 meter station wagon which offers third row seats for passengers. Company has already started taking bookings for Go+ with a fully refundable amount of Rs.11,000. As for now, there is no direct competitor for this car.
April 13, 2015: HCIL has launched the new VX(O) variant in its most successful Honda City lineup in both petrol and diesel fuel trim. This new variant is positioned over the existing VX grade and is available in manual transmission. The new VX(O) model features an advanced integrated touchscreen audio visual navigation (AVN), something which was missing in this sedan. The company has also added a new premium color - White Orchid Pearlin in the line-up. Recenlty the latest 4th generation car has become the fastest to achieve 1 lac sales mark in a matter of just 15 months. This sedan have registered 1,01,299 units of cumulative sales since its launch. This vehicle with its 1.5L i-DTEC has enabled the maker to enter the diesel segment and have done fortunes for the company. Notably, Amaze was the first car to get this engine.

December 17, 2014: MSIL has officially released the images of new hatchback Alto Kei . The car will first be launched in Japan on December 22, 2014 and then will make its way to other parts of the world. In terms of design, the front fascia of car gets kind of retro look with flat front and trapezoidal headlights. The new model is powered by 3-cylinder, 660cc petrol engine tuned to develop an output of 54bhp with 63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. The company is also planning a sporty Turbo RS variant for this high octane model in coming months.
May 11, 2015: Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that Scorpio has crossed 50,000 units milestone in a financial year for the 4th consecutive time. And indeed it was the highest ever annual sales number, M&M says they have retailed 51,553 units in FY15. While in the launch month of the new Scorpio, it also recorded highest ever monthly sales since its inception, having sold 6,060 units!
March 17, 2015: HMIL has launched its first ever crossover, the Hyundai i20 Active at Rs 6.38 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is based on carmaker's last-year introduced Elite i20, and goes up against the likes of Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. Like any other crossover available currently, the Active also looks like a beefier version of its hatch counterpart with some noticeable changes on it. The car gets full-body black plastic cladding, redesigned bumpers incorporating hexagonal grille and large circular fog lamps, new skid plate, roof rails and projector head-lamps with daytime running lamps. Additionally, the new 16' inch diamond cut alloy wheels complements the overall rugged design well.
February 18, 2015 : Hyundai has finally launched the new Fluidic 4S Verna at Rs 7.73 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the diesel model is priced at Rs 8.94 lac. The 4S (which stands for Style, Safety, Sophistication and Speed) the front fascia features wind shaped grille with twin salted chrome linings, redesigned front bumper and new fog light housings. While the rear gets slightly redesigned tail lamps along with a reworked bumper which now incorporate reflectors at each end finish up the design changes. On the safety front the car offers ABS as standard safety feature while the top variant gets six airbags, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
April 16, 2015 : Dacia, Renault 's fully owned subsidiary, has ventured into the light commercial vehicle space in the United Kingdom with Duster Commercial. The two seater Commercial is priced at £9,595 (approximately Rs. 8.8 lac) and is available solely with a 1.5-liter dCi 110 turbo diesel. Moreover, starting this month, this company has launched the facelift of their compact SUV in the Brazilian market. The 2015 series sports a lot of exterior and interior changes. At the outside, the car gets new black grille, revamped headlights with LED daytime running lights and newly designed tailights. The roof rails gets more chunkier now. Inside there is fresh central console that incorporates updated Media Nav touchscreen unit which now allows social media access and real time traffic updates. Under the hood mechanics remains the same with 1.6L and 2.0L flex fuel engines. This new facelift is expected to be launched in India at the end of 2015 or early next year.
April 20, 2015: HCIL has hiked the prices of its compact sedan by Rs 800. The increase in price is in accordance with the tax rationalization in the Budget. Recently, the automaker has launched new Petrol/ CNG bi-fuel version of its compact sedan, christened as Honda Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus. Priced at INR 6.54 Lacs (including CNG kit installation), the new variant is available from today onwards in the cities where the alternative fuel is on offer. The new variant has been specially tuned to run on CNG, the suspension has been tweaked, and a specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality, has been added.
February 06, 2015: Hyundai UK has introduced a new ‘Premium SE’ trim to the existing line up of the second generation i10 (the vehicle in India is christened as Grand i10 ). The Premium SE variant is available in both manual and automatic trim, prices starts from £11,995 (approximately Rs. 11.35 lac) for manual and £12,650 (approximately Rs. 11.97 lac) for automatic. Earlier in September 2014, Hyundai India had introduced a ‘SportZ Edition’ of the Grand i10 to celebrate its first anniversary in the country. The Grand i10 was launched in September 2013 and it already has over 1.1 lakh happy owners in India. The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ gets the 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as a standard, the other list of features include bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors too have been upgraded with fabric upholstery and crafted in tones of red. The SportZ is available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel engines.
May 12, 2015: To equip Wagon R with AMT (Automated-Manual-Transmission) is on the cards for Maruti for a long time and the Wagon R was recently spotted wearing AGS (Auto-Gear-Shift) badge. December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year. May 15, 2015: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) will soon start trial production of diesel engines at their new production facility at the outskirts of Bengaluru, near Jigani. The commercial production of the engines will start by early 2016. Few days ago, Toyota revealed the new ‘GD' family of diesel engines at the 2015 36th International Vienna Motor Symposium in Austria which will go in 2016 Toyota Fortuner, Innova. Earlier in January, Toyota updated the Innova. The 2015 model MPV now come with standard dual front airbags (driver + passenger) along with added bling inside-out. This new model is available in the range of Rs. 10.51 lac and Rs. 15.80 lac (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Mechanically,it remain unaltered. Earlier in last month, it tops J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 Initial Quality Study (IQS). The country's undisputed top selling MPV holds the lowest PP100 (problems per 100 vehicles) among the segment sticking onto company's - QDR - Quality, Durability and Reliability.
January 27, 2015: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the anticipated top-end Z+ trims of the Ciaz , the ZXI+ (Petrol) costs Rs. 9.81 Lac while the ZDI+ (Diesel) costs Rs. 10.37 Lac (All Ex-Showroom Prices New Delhi). The Z+ trims carries forward the goodies from the Z trims and adds a 7-inch touch screen 'SmartPlay' infotainment system with voice commands and navigation along with leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels. Earlier in December, the company has recalled 3,796 units of this sedan to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system, manufactured till 7 November. May 21, 2015 : Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the facelift version of XUV500 on 25th May, 2015. The very first undisguised images of the refreshed XUV500 reveal its new stylistic updates. As seen in the recent spied images (and in teaser image), the SUV will feature ‘S' shaped LED inserts in headlights, inspired from eyebrow shaped LED DRLs in Mahindra Scorpio. The updated SUV will also get new honeycomb mesh grille with black slats and chrome highlights which was again first seen in the second-gen Scorpio. The front bumper is also redesigned and now gets wider air damps with chrome housing on fog lamps. The side profile is also also expected to get a new set of wheels with 10-spoke alloys.
May 14, 2015: Nissan today launched the limited edition Terrano Groove in India at Rs 11,45,123, (Ex-showroom Delhi). The limited edition is based on already existing XL (O) variant and offers INR 30,000 worth of additions at no extra cost. May 19, 2015: The homegrown car manufacturer Tata Motors launched the Nano GenX at Rs 1.99 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Tata has introduced Nano GenX in five variants XE, XM, XT with manual gearbox and top variant XMA & XTA with an Automated gearbox. The XM variant is priced at Rs 2.29 lac, XT at Rs 2.49 lac, XMA at Rs 2.69 lac while the XTA is priced at Rs 2.89 lac. Dealers have already started taking booking of the Nano GenX at an upfront payment of Rs 5,000.
February 28, 2015: HCIL has released the fourth installment of the stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma’s spree with the Honda Mobilio . In this 4th commercial Kapil is entertaining a large family. Earlier after the launch, the car maker added two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). It currently features a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O).
March 23, 2015: Nissan is working on its budget-offering, Datsun Go , to strengthen its body shell in an attempt to make it more safe. To improve the company's product lineup the manufacturer will be using steel with higher tensile strength, around 520 megapascals which currently is 320 megapascals. Furthermore, to increase structural rigidity side beams will be employed. And it would be getting airbags along with anti-lock braking systems by the middle of this year. The company sold around a good 14,000 vehicles in 2014.
