    February 10, 2014: Maruti Suzuki unveiled its Swift Sport, a sportier version of its Swift model at the Auto Expo 2014. Recently launched in Indonesia, it has a more aggressive look with new grille and finned fog-lamp bezels, high-intensity discharge headlamps with a metallic-Grey coating and the newly designed rear combination lamps with a cylindrical design. It comes with a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder mill that renders a maximum power of 100PS at 6900RPM and 160Nm of top torque at 4,400RPM, taking just 8.7 seconds to reach 0-100kmph with a top speed of 193kmph and a 15.625kmpl fuel economy. Moreover, the automaker has launched Renault Duster Adventure Edition which is available with 110PS trim only and is more of a 110PS RxL variant with some added features.     April 15, 2014: Honda India today launched the first Anniversary Edition of Amaze. The new version will cost Rs 71,861 over the standard VX and S models. This anniversary edition includes all-round body cladding, front and side spoiler, door visors, chromed exhaust muffler tip along with an 'Anniversary Edition' badge on boot lid. While inside it gets new premium upholstery and contrasting wood panels. The engine remains same as the car will keep on housing the 1.5-litre i-DTEC and 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine.     May 2, 2013: India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki celebrated the fifth anniversary of its flagship compact sedan, Swift Dzire in style. MSI invited over 62 customers with their familes to take part in Mumbai. The Dzirable Mileage Rally celebration was held in 31 cities across the country last weekend. Mr. Gurdeep singh was given the crown for achieving the best mileage of 45.8kmpl in the diesel category, while Mr. Shrirang Chindarkar won in the petrol category by achieving 42.1kmpl mileage.

    March 12, 2014: After much anticpation, Hyundai has finally unwrapped the Grand i10 sedan aka Hyundai Xcent today. Earlier, it was expected that it would be called as the Hyundai Grand i10 sedan, however, the company has played safe by keeping the charm of its previous sedan, Accent . With the addition of automatic variant in Grand i10's lineup, the contemporary hatch is luring more car enthusiasts. The automatic Grand i10 is now available in two trim levels- Sportz and Asta. Both these variants are locked up with a four-speed automatic gearbox. The petrol model is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder Kappa engine that churns out a maximum power output of 82bhp and 115Nm of top torque. Speculations are rife that Hyundai may also bring an automatic variant in diesel fuel trim too.

The new XUV500 Hybrid, the first manual diesel hybrid vehicle in the world, has become 18 per cent more fuel efficient than its predecessor. It comes with a permanent magnet synchronous motor and lithium ion battery. Its conventional engine is coupled with an electric motor, ensuring a better fuel economy.

    28th-Mar-2012: Hyundai India has finally slipped in the next generation Hyundai i20 priced at Rs 4.73 lakh . The i-Gen i20, available in 12 variants comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The i20 petrol variants range from Rs 4.73 lakh to Rs 6.65 lakh; the diesel variants range from Rs 5.96 lakh to Rs 7.44 lakh and the automatic variant is priced at Rs 7.67 lakh. A new refined 1.2 Kappa petrol engine with Dual VTVT mechanism is seen on-board now which delivers 84 Ps of peak power. The diesel variants now are affixed with fresh 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission. The automatic petrol variant Hyundai i20 Sportz delivers 100 Ps power and 13.9 kg-m of torque. Rear Parking Camera with display in the cabin mirror, Electro Chromic Mirror, Clean Air-Cluster  ionizer, Auto Headlight Control Function, 6 Airbags, Rear Disc Brakes, Supervision Cluster and Rain Sensing Wipers are the segment first features debuted in 2012 Hyundai i20.

    February 27, 2014 : Hyundai India brings in a new CX trim to its most celebrated sedan, Hyundai Verna. With this, the company opens wide range to choose from, as the variant comes with both 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant is priced at Rs. 8.07 lakh and diesel costs Rs. 9.28 lakh. The new trim is positioned in between EX and SX variants, and gets almost every feature required to be with the mid variant. It also features steering mounted audio controls, climate control and particularly diamond cut alloy wheels as standard.     December 27, 2013: Mahindra & Mahindra, India's leading SUV maker is planning to launch the Scorpio facelift in the country by the end of first quarter of 2014. Speculations are on rife that the homegrown manufacturer will unveil the SUV at the next year's Indian Auto Expo. The vehicle has already been spotted several times during its test rounds on the Indian streets. The 2014 Scorpio facelift will get new headlamps, revised front bumper with prominent creases, new grille, revised taillamps, new rear bumper and tailgate. Inside the cabin, it features a restyled dashboard, new upholstery, updated centre console and new steering wheel.     October 9, 2013: Nissan India has finally launched the Terrano SUV in India for Rs. 9.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The Terrano is based on the highly popular Duster, however, the company has made enough changes to make it look different and refresh.
