  • Maruti Ciaz

    October 14, 2014: Ciaz, the latest debutante from Maruti Suzuki is now attracting a waiting period of two to three months in metro cities while there is still three to four weeks of waiting in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Maruti Suzuki launched its C segment saloon Ciaz at Rs 6.99 lakh while the diesel model starts at Rs 8.04 lakh. Ciaz is offered in both petrol and diesel, the petrol version features a 1.4-liter K14 motor. While the diesel counterpart sports a 1.3-liter DDiS engine. Both are coupled to a 5 speed manual while a 4-speed AT on petrol will be offered later. Prominent features on the Ciaz are, projector headlamps, touchscreen 'SmartPlay' infotainment system, rear AC vents,etc. The diesel model delivers a fuel economy of 26.21kmpl while the petrol model gives a mileage 20.73kmpl.

  • Hyundai Elite i20

    September 2, 2014: Hyundai India is overwhelmed with the success of Elite i20 and there's every reason to be, Elite i20 garnered 15,300 bookings in mere 20 days of it's launch. Speaking about the pricing, the Elite i20 is priced at Rs. 4.89 lakh for base petrol while diesel starts at Rs 6.09 lakh (all Ex-Showroom New Delhi prices). Mechanically, the car remains unchanged apart from skimping the 1.4 liter petrol; on offer now is a 1.2-liter petrol engine and 1.4-litre diesel unit. Petrol trims are mated to a five speed manual while diesel packs a sportier six-speed manual.

    October 7, 2014 :The homegrown manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed the accessory range of Scorpio. Under the accessory range, SUV offers front U guard, U guard with fog lamp protectors, gripped guard and rubber coated guard, rear stainless steel guard with child climb assist, aluminium rear guard, aluminium roof carrier. Inside the cabin, the SUV boasts a 9-inch headrest mountable monitors or 7-inch headrest in-built monitors, remote lock, 2-in -1 car charger and coat hanger are also on the list. The SUV also offers dual-tone art leather seat cover, floor mats, GPS navigation, car inverter system, door visor,illuminated scuff plates, removable rack, parking assist.

    October 28, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelift version of Swift at Rs 4.42 Lac while the diesel model starts at Rs 5.56 Lac. The dealers have already started taking bookings for the Swift facelift across the country. The updated Swift embraces push start button, reverse parking assistant, new front profile, premium interiors and higher fuel efficiency by 10 per cent. It also gets 3 exciting new colors as Mysterious Violet, Fire Red and Granite Gray. The engine specification remains same but the fuel efficiency is enhanced by 10 per cent in diesel model and 9.67 per cent in petrol models.

  • Ford Ecosport

    October 29, 2014: At the ongoing 2014 São Paulo Auto Show, Ford Brazil showcased three modified concept version of the EcoSport - Beauty, Storm and Beast. Ford Brazil didn't reveal anything about these modded concept going on sale there but rather focused on demonstrating EcoSport's ability of customization. Earlier in August, Ford India had celebrates over 100,000 sales mark (domestic wholesales and exports combined) milestone of the EcoSport. Speaking about the Indian domestic sales, Ford India says that over 60,000 EcoSports are running on the Indian streets. The compact SUVs brilliant drivability, ruggedness, safety features and goodies on-board, helps it to lead the segment when it comes to sale and the vehicle still bags a waiting period!

  • Tata Zest

    August 12, 2014 : Tata Motors has launched its compact sedan Zest today on August 12, 2014 at a price tag of Rs. 4.64 lakh (petrol) and Rs. 5.64 lakh (diesel). Zest being a compact sedan will lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Honda Amaze and recently launched Hyundai Xcent. The production of Zest has already started at Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra with Fiat. The dealers have already started to take bookings of the compact sedan with an upfront payment of INR 21,000 for both petrol and diesel. Apart from the sporty looks from the Tata's debutante 'DESIGNEXT' design philosophy, Zest gets several first-in-class features like tailor-made 5-inch HARMAN touchscreen infotainment system, projector headlamps, day-time-running-LEDs, LED tail lamps and multi-drive modes (ECO, SPORTS, CITY).

  • Honda Mobilio

    September 20, 2014 : Honda Mobilio has attracted more than 20,000 bookings in a span of two months of its launch. The Japanese manufacturer already retailed more than 8890 units in July and August. While recenlty, Honda Mobilio adds two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). Adding to this, now Mobilio has a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O). These variants adds a larges 15.7cm touch screen infotainment system with built-in voice guided navigation and it also doubles up as reverse parking camera screen. Apart from this the new trims gets faux wood inserts on the dashboard and front door armrests.

  • Honda Amaze

    June 10, 2014: Honda has sold more that 88,000 units of Amaze in just a span of one year. The car was launched in April last year and since than it has been a huge sucess for the Japanese manufacturer. Honda Amaze is the company's first car to be launched with a diesel engine. The car carries a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine and chruns a power of 98.6bhp while the petrol model houses 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine which develops a power of 86.8bhp. Company claims that the diesel model delivers a fuel economy of 25.8kmpl. Currently, the company has 172 facilities across 109 cities while it intends to increase them to 230 facilities across 150 cities.

  • Maruti Swift Dzire

    September 20, 2014: To boost the sales ahead of festive season, Maruti Suzuki has brought the Swift DZire Regalia Limited Edition. New to the features are the Signature Leather Wrinkled Seat Covers, Attractive body graphics, reverse parking sensor, designer floor mats and interior styling kits. By opting this accessory kit, customers can save upto Rs 5010, as the Regalia Limited Edition Kit is worth Rs 13,800 while otherwise it would cost Rs 18,810. Furthermore, the competition in the compact sedan is increasing day by day and so Maruti Suzuki is now planning to bring the facelift of Swift DZire. The upgraded Swift DZire will now embrace majority of cosmetic upgrades such as increased chrome work with bold chrome slat at the front. Powering the DZire is the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engines.

    October 29, 2014: Renault has showcased a unique four door crew-cab version of Renault Duster christened as Duster Oroch concept at the ongoing 2014 São Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. The company says that the production model is set to go on sale in the Latin American country. Speaking of the Indian launch, we have no market for recreational lifestyle vehicle so its very unlikely that we get one, but next-gen Duster could feature designing cues from this one. On the design front, the concept offers panoramic sun roof, roof rails, closed-leading area, LED DRLs, 18-inch radial, side mounted camera for clicking sporting memories, etc.

  • Maruti Celerio

    August 19, 2014: Maruti Suzuki's new 793cc diesel engine is all set to hit the Indian market. The Celerio is the first hatchback to get 0.8-litre diesel engine and at the moment it is undergoing its final stage of testing in Japan. The Celerio and a new commercial vehicle from Suzuki will be available with this new diesel engine. Maruti Suzuki Celerio will come with three trims, LDi, VDi and ZDi. The VDi will come with an option of ABS too. This is Suzuki's first in-house developed diesel engine and it will be the smallest diesel engine in India. The 793cc diesel engine will churn about 50bhp of power and it will be coming with common rail diesel technology.

    May 6, 2014 : Hyundai India launched Eon Magna+ at Rs 3.83 lakh (Ex-showroom,New Delhi) . The exterior remains same while inside the cabin, Magna+ features dual tone interiors in beige and brown colour scheme along with addition of music system with USB and AUX connectivity. Mechanically, the car in-houses latest Dual VTVT technology as it carries 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that musters a maximum power output of 68bhp and peak torque of 94Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine is coupled to a five speed manual transmission and the hatch delivers a fuel economy of 20.3 Kmpl (ARAI Certified).

    August 6, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has introduced a limited edition of Alto 800 christened as 'Alto 800 Maximum'. This limited edition adorns features such as ART leather seat covers, side moldings, keyless entry, rear roof spoiler, attractive body graphics and side decals. The heart throbbing car of Indian middle class recently witnessed ‘2,50,000 ALTOs on the road'. The most preferable iconic Maruti 800 has gone through constructive phase in terms of design and comfort which led to the evolution of the Alto 800. The new Alto 800 has been given the sporty touches on the exteriors and is now more spacious on the inside.     September 3, 2014: Hyundai is celebrating its first anniversary of Grand i10 and to mark the occasion, the Korean car maker has introduced the ‘SportZ Edition’. The Grand i10 was launched in September 2013 and it already has over 1.1 lakh happy owners in India. The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ gets the 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as a standard, the other list of features include bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors too have been upgraded with fabric upholstery and crafted in tones of red. The SportZ is available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel engines.

  • Maruti Alto K10

    October 31, 2014: Maruti Suzuki India will launch the next generation Alto K10 with AMT gearbox on November 3rd, 2014. Bookings of the same have already begun with an amount of Rs. 10,000. Seeing the success of Celerio, Alto K10 is coming in a new avatar along with Celerio borrowed AMT. Mechanically, the new K10 will carry forward the K series 998cc petrol motor churning out max power of 67.1bhp @ 6200rpm and a peak torque of 90Nm @ 3500rpm. Apart from the AMT, existing 5-Speed manual will be available on the new hatch. Fuel economy is likely to go up from outgoing car's 20.92km/l.

    September 22, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has launched a Limited Edition of its Wagon R hatchback. Named as Wagon R Krest, the special variant comes with some minor tweaks. Price of the model has been kept INR 22,500 above the standard model. Changes on the outside includes new front grille, limited edition body graphic and stylish wheel covers. While the interiors features new seat covers, steering wheel cover and carpet floor mats. The limited edition model also comes with a keyless central locking.

  • Mahindra XUV500

    July 31, 2014: Mahindra & Mahindra has sold over 1,00,000 units of its XUV500, since its introduction in 2011. The 1,00,000th unit of the SUV was sold about 33 months after the sales commenced. While the 50,000 units milestone was achieved in January last year. All the variants of XUV 500, come equipped with a 2.2-litre four-pot diesel engine, capable of 140 bhp and 330 Nm of peak torque. The unit comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, sending power to the front wheels, or to all wheels in case of the AWD model.

  • Fiat Avventura

    October 21, 2014: Fiat has finally launched the much-awaited Avventura crossover in India at Rs. 5.99 Lakh. The Punto based pseudo crossover is available in three trim levels- Active, Dynamic and Emotion, while the petrol misses out the range-topping trim. Petrol variants of Avventura gets its power from a 1.4-litre Fire engine, while the trusted 1.3-litre Multijet does its duty under the hood of diesel variants. Both the powertrains are carried over from the Punto Evo hatchback without giving any revamp. Thus, the natural-aspirated petrol engine churns out 92bhp while the diesel is good for 89bhp, delivering thrust to front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel delivers claimed fuel economy of 20.5km/l while petrol model delivers 14.4km/l.

    July 15, 2014 : Maruti Suzuki India launched the limited edition version of its seven seater MPV Ertiga at INR 6.76 lakh for Petrol model while the CNG and Diesel models are priced at INR 7.34 lakh and 8.05 lakh respectively. The Limited Edition features trendy Limited Edition body decals and graphics, Rear spoiler, New paint shade of Pearl Blaze blue.     October 17, 2014: The next-gen 2014 Toyota Innova has been spotted recently near their manufacturing facility in Bangalore. The next-gen MPV is expected to hit India by early 2016. Recently, Toyota had introduced Innova's limited edition at a price bracket of Rs 12,90,947 to Rs. 13,00,710 (Ex showroom New Delhi). Only 1500 units will ever be made available for a limited period between September to November 2014. This limited edition model gets a new color shade as Bronze Mica Metallic and is based on the existing GX Grade. The MPV embraces ‘Limited Edition' badge on rear end, headlamps and taillamp cluster with chrome attachments.     September 24, 2014: Volkswagen has launched the updated version of Vento at Rs 7.44 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new Vento is coming up with 1.5 liter TDi diesel engine that was recently seen on the 2014 refreshed Polo. The engine has the capability to churn a mighty power of 103.5bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm. The diesel engine comes mated with both 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-shift DSG automatic gearbox that makes gear shifting easier and smoother.

    September 17,2014: Mahindra's next generation Bolero was spotted testing in Germany recently even the Indian test rounds are on full swing.     September 15,2014: Ford India has launched a refreshed Ford Figo ahead of the festive season, the new hatch starts at Rs. 3.87 lakh for petrol and Rs. 4.83 lakh for diesel (Ex-Showroom New Delhi). Changes are cosmetic like smoked gun-metal color alloys, chromed Figo badge on the front fender along with side reflectors on the out-side-rear-view-mirrors.     September 17, 2014: Hyundai India has appointed the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador for it's compact sedan - Hyundai Xcent. Hyundai has also launched a new TV commercial for the Xcent featuring SRK, depicting their philosophy 'multiply your life'.
