  • Hyundai Elite i20

    January 31, 2015: Hyundai Elite i20 is doing wonder for Hyundai India and now the manufacturer is going to launch the Crossover version of the i20. The launch of the i20 Cross is slated for march.The i20 Cross is based on the new Elite i20 and apart from a full body cladding, roof rails, projector headlamps with daytime running lights and LED tail lights with revised front and rear bumper will differentiate it from the hatch.With the rugged look company might offer bigger 17-inch alloy wheels to add more to its sporty stance. Under the skin the Cross will share the same 1.2-litre Kappa2 and 1.4-litre CRDi diesel engine. Hyundai is planning to launch the car in second week of March, which will also be its global debut.

  • Maruti Swift

    January 27, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has launched the limited edition Swift Windsong VXI at Rs 5,14,973 and Swift Windsong VDI at Rs 6,10,246 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The limited edition of Swift is only made available in two trims-VXI and VDI. The automaker has earlier showcased this limited edition Swift Windsong at the ‘Windsong Music Festival' Lonavala. The limited edition model embraces Sony Touchscreen Music System with Bluetooth & External Mic with USB connectivity, reverse parking sensors, rear upper roof spoiler, door sill guard with illumination and ambient interior lighting. The limited edition also gets designer groovy musical themed graphics on exterior, trendy seat covers and designer floor mats on interior. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and features the same 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and 1.2-litre K-Series VVT petrol engine.

  • Datsun GO Plus

    January 15, 2015: Datsun has launched its sub-4 meter station-wagon Go+ at an starting price of Rs 3.79 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base D variant. Company has offered a total of four variants. The 'D1' which is next to the base variant is priced at Rs 3.82, followed by 'A' variant at Rs 4.15 lac and top of the line 'T' variant at Rs 4.61 lac. The car is now India's first sub-4 meter station wagon which offers third row seats for passengers. Datsun has already started taking bookings for Go+ with a fully refundable amount of Rs.11,000. As for now, there is no direct competitor for this car.

  • Maruti Alto K10

    December 17, 2014: Suzuki Motors has officially released the images of new hatchback Alto Kei. The car will first be launched in Japan on December 22, 2014 and then will make its way to other parts of the world. In terms of design, the front fascia of car gets kind of retro look with flat front and trapezoidal headlights.The new Suzuki Alto is powered by 3-cylinder, 660cc petrol engine tuned to develop an output of 54bhp with 63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. The company is also planning a sporty Alto Turbo RS variant in coming months.

    September 20, 2014: To boost the sales ahead of festive season, Maruti Suzuki has brought the Swift DZire Regalia Limited Edition. New to the features are the Signature Leather Wrinkled Seat Covers, Attractive body graphics, reverse parking sensor, designer floor mats and interior styling kits. By opting this accessory kit, customers can save upto Rs 5010, as the Regalia Limited Edition Kit is worth Rs 13,800 while otherwise it would cost Rs 18,810. Furthermore, the competition in the compact sedan is increasing day by day and so Maruti Suzuki is now planning to bring the facelift of Swift DZire. The upgraded Swift DZire will now embrace majority of cosmetic upgrades such as increased chrome work with bold chrome slat at the front. Powering the DZire is the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engines.

  • Tata Bolt

    January 22, 2015: Tata Motors today launched the Bolt hatch at Rs 4.44 Lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The hatch is made available both the fuel trims with four variants in each petrol and diesel models. The online bookings for the Bolt are already open and can be booked with an amount of just INR 11,000. Though Bolt looks more-or-less like a modern evolution of the company's late 1990s launched Indica hatchback, but is ahead of any Indicas before, be it the most recent- Vista. Powering the Bolt, is a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) mill, good for 90 bhp and peak torque of 140 Nm and a 1.3-litre diesel unit, rated at 75 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. A five-speed manual gearbox will come as standard across all variants, with no AMT, even as optional.

  • Maruti Ciaz

    January 27, 2015: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the anticipated top-end Z+ trims of the Ciaz, the ZXI+ (Petrol) costs Rs. 9.81 Lac while the ZDI+ (Diesel) costs Rs. 10.37 Lac (All Ex-Showroom Prices New Delhi). The Z+ trims carries forward the goodies from the Z trims and adds a 7-inch touch screen 'SmartPlay' infotainment system with voice commands and navigation along with leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels.


    Earlier in December, Maruti Suzuki has recalled 3,796 units of Ciaz to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system, manufactured till 7 November. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost, and the dealers across the country have already started contacting the owners of impacted vehicles. For self checking, Ciaz customers can fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the MSI's official website '' to ascertain if their sedan is among the above mentioned vehicles or not.

    December 17, 2014: Ford has recalled 20,752 units of its highest selling model- EcoSport, due to an issue with airbag issue and corrosion in fuel line. The compact-SUVs covered under this recall were the ones, manufactured between January 2013 and September 2014. All these repairing concerns will be done free of cost at company's dealerships across the country. The compact SUV is being offered with two petrol engine options, namely the 125bhp-1.0 litre three cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine, Fiesta's 110bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder mill, and a 90bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder TDCi turbocharged engine for the diesel variants.

    January 13, 2015: Mahindra, the homegrown manufacturer has updated its Scorpio lineup by adding two new variants S4+ & S4+ 4WD. In the process, S4 4WD is discontinued. Both the S4+ and S4+ 4WD are placed above the S4 trim. Earlier in October, Mahindra & Mahindra had revealed the accessory range of Scorpio. Under the accessory range, SUV offers front U guard, U guard with fog lamp protectors, gripped guard and rubber coated guard, rear stainless steel guard with child climb assist, aluminium rear guard, aluminium roof carrier. Inside the cabin, the SUV boasts a 9-inch headrest mountable monitors or 7-inch headrest in-built monitors, remote lock, 2-in -1 car charger and coat hanger are also on the list. The SUV also offers dual-tone art leather seat cover, floor mats, GPS navigation, car inverter system, door visor,illuminated scuff plates, removable rack, parking assist.

  • Honda Mobilio

    September 20, 2014 : Honda Mobilio has attracted more than 20,000 bookings in a span of two months of its launch. The Japanese manufacturer already retailed more than 8890 units in July and August. While recenlty, Honda Mobilio adds two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). Adding to this, now Mobilio has a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O). These variants adds a larges 15.7cm touch screen infotainment system with built-in voice guided navigation and it also doubles up as reverse parking camera screen. Apart from this the new trims gets faux wood inserts on the dashboard and front door armrests.

  • Honda Amaze

    January 13, 2015: Honda refreshes Amaze's model lineup by adding Audio-Video Navigation. The car now gets a new VX(O) grade which will be placed above the existing VX grade in Manual Transmission in both petrol and diesel. Recently, Amaze gets another achievement under its brand by getting its name written in Guinness World Record books in the category of ‘Longest journey by a car in a single country'. Honda has sold more than 1,00,000 units of Amaze and to celebrate this achievement, the company initiated the Honda Amazingly Indian campaign’. The car was launched in April last year and since then it has been a huge success for the Japanese manufacturer. Honda Amaze is the company's first car to be launched with a diesel engine. The car carries a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine and churns a power of 98.6bhp while the petrol model houses 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine which develops a power of 86.8bhp.

  • Maruti Celerio

    January 31st : Maruti Suzuki Celerio will soon be offered with a diesel engine along with the earlier launched petrol mill, a recent report states. As claimed, the diesel-powered Celerio will be making its way to Indian roads, sometime around the second quarter of this year. It will be powered by all-new 792cc twin-cylinder turbo diesel engine, developed in-house by the company. This mill will also propel the company’s new LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle), code-named as Y9T. Though nothing official is out yet but it is highly expected that MSIL will introduce the Automated Manual Transmission with the diesel engine too.

  • Hyundai Grand i10

    November 29, 2014: Hyundai second-gen i10 (our Grand i10) won the prestigious  2014 Scottish Car of the Year along with Best Small Car in its segment at the annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Speaking of the same, Hyundai has sold more than 22,000 units of second-gen i10 since it went on to sale in UK in January, 2014. Earlier in September, Hyundai India had introduced a ‘SportZ Edition’ of the Grand i10 to celebrate its first anniversary in the country. The Grand i10 was launched in September 2013 and it already has over 1.1 lakh happy owners in India. The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ gets the 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as a standard, the other list of features include bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors too have been upgraded with fabric upholstery and crafted in tones of red. The SportZ is available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel engines.

    December 6, 2014: As a part of its year-end sale, Maruti Suzuki is offering benefits of upto INR 55,000 in its Wagon R hatchback.     December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year.     December 06, 2014 : Datsun, the wholly owned subsidary of Nissan is offering benefits upto Rs 30,000 on its entry level Go hatch.     January 06, 2015: Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the updated 2015 Innova in the country. The 2015 MPV now come with standard dual-front airbags (driver + passenger) along with added bling inside-out. The new Innova is available in the range of Rs. 10.51 lac and Rs. 15.80 lac (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Mechanically,it remain unaltered. Earlier in last month, Toyota Innova tops J.D.   • Mahindra XUV 500

    January 30, 2015: Mahindra XUV500 will be launched with a facelift this year, getting small cosmetic changes such as new front fascia, new alloy wheel design and some changes to the dashboard as well. The refreshed XUV500 is also expected to be launched with new variants in the form of an automatic gearbox and a new hybrid variant. There won’t be any changes to the engine and the XUV500 will continue to be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine putting out 140 hp and 330 Nm of torque. We can expect the car to come with better fuel efficiency figures while the automatic transmission will probably offered in the top variant.

    November 26, 2014: The latest offering from Tata Motors - Zest, is getting an overwhelming response from prospective buyers as the compact sedan now attracts a waiting period of six months. Moreover, Tata Motors recently appointed President of passenger cars division said that the home grown automaker is trying hard to shorten the waiting period, ramping-up the production of the compact sedan. Build under company's new 'Horizonnext' strategy, the compact sedan is attracting waiting because of the gap between demand and supply.     December 24, 2014: Volkswagen has launched the first-ever petrol version of the Polo BlueMotion , ahead of first UK deliveries in March, with prices starting from £14,730. The Volkswagen Polo Bluemotion will be powered a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder BlueMotion TSI petrol engine that produces 95 PS of maximum power at 5,000-5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 118 Nm at 1,500-3,500 rpm. The 1.0-litre engine will be the greenest petrol engine in the range with 94 g/km CO2 emissions and 68.9 mpg fuel economy. The Polo Bluemotion comes with a styling pack which includes uniquely shaped front and rear bumpers, radiator grille, side skirts and rear roof spoiler, body coloured door handles, body coloured door mirrors with integrated indicators, front fog lights and static cornering function and unique BlueMotion badging.

    January 29, 2015: Hyundai India is all set to launch the 2015 Hyundai Verna on 17th February, 2015. The new Verna will be identical to the facelifted 'Solaris' sold in Russia. Just like Russia, new Verna gets an all new face with a longer and pointier nose. It also gets new headlights with projector lamps, which are more elongated. The new two slated grille is wider, while the inverted comma like fog lamps are integrated with LED daytime-running lights. In addition, it will also get new 16-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lights. Inside, the car is likely to get a new audio system, while top-end variants might also get a new touch-screen infotainment unit.
