    February 24, 2015 : Maruti Suzuki has silently launched the facelifted Swift Dzire at Rs 5.07 lac while the ZDi (diesel top variant) costs Rs 7.81 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The most selling compact sedan from India's largest passenger car seller is now offered with four new eye catching shades in both petrol and diesel models. On the exterior, the car now gets single-chrome slat grille, smoked head-lamps, chrome inserts on log lamps, redesigned bumpers and new set of alloy wheels. While as seen in the swift facelift, its bigger sibling, Swift Dzire too gets start-stop button, reverse parking sensors, rear power socket, electrically adjustable folding mirrors and a new music system.

  • Hyundai Elite i20

    January 31, 2015: Hyundai Elite i20 is doing wonder for Hyundai India and now the manufacturer is going to launch the Crossover version of the i20. The launch of the i20 Cross is slated for march.The i20 Cross is based on the new Elite i20 and apart from a full body cladding, roof rails, projector headlamps with daytime running lights and LED tail lights with revised front and rear bumper will differentiate it from the hatch.With the rugged look company might offer bigger 17-inch alloy wheels to add more to its sporty stance. Under the skin the Cross will share the same 1.2-litre Kappa2 and 1.4-litre CRDi diesel engine. Hyundai is planning to launch the car in second week of March, which will also be its global debut.

  • Maruti Swift

    January 27, 2014: Maruti Suzuki has launched the limited edition Swift Windsong VXI at Rs 5,14,973 and Swift Windsong VDI at Rs 6,10,246 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The limited edition of Swift is only made available in two trims-VXI and VDI. The automaker has earlier showcased this limited edition Swift Windsong at the ‘Windsong Music Festival' Lonavala. The limited edition model embraces Sony Touchscreen Music System with Bluetooth & External Mic with USB connectivity, reverse parking sensors, rear upper roof spoiler, door sill guard with illumination and ambient interior lighting. The limited edition also gets designer groovy musical themed graphics on exterior, trendy seat covers and designer floor mats on interior. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and features the same 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and 1.2-litre K-Series VVT petrol engine.

  • Hyundai 4S Fluidic Verna

    February 18, 2015: Hyundai has finally launched the new Fluidic 4S Verna at Rs 7.73 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the diesel model is priced at Rs 8.94 lac. In the new Verna 4S (which stands for Style, Safety, Sophistication and Speed) the front fascia features wind shaped grille with twin salted chrome linings, redesigned front bumper and new fog light housings. While the rear gets slightly redesigned tail lamps along with a reworked bumper which now incorporate reflectors at each end finish up the design changes. On the safety front the car offers ABS as standard safety feature while the top variant gets six airbags, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.

  • Hyundai i20 Active

    March 17, 2015: Hyundai India has launched its first ever crossover, the i20 Active at Rs 6.38 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is based on carmaker's last-year introduced Elite i20, and goes up against the likes of Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. Like any other crossover available currently, the Active also looks like a beefier version of its hatch counterpart with some noticeable changes on it. The car gets full-body black plastic cladding, redesigned bumpers incorporating hexagonal grille and large circular fog lamps, new skid plate, roof rails and projector head-lamps with daytime running lamps. Additionally, the new 16' inch diamond cut alloy wheels complements the overall rugged design well.

  • Datsun GO Plus

    January 15, 2015: Datsun has launched its sub-4 meter station-wagon Go+ at an starting price of Rs 3.79 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base D variant. Company has offered a total of four variants. The 'D1' which is next to the base variant is priced at Rs 3.82, followed by 'A' variant at Rs 4.15 lac and top of the line 'T' variant at Rs 4.61 lac. The car is now India's first sub-4 meter station wagon which offers third row seats for passengers. Datsun has already started taking bookings for Go+ with a fully refundable amount of Rs.11,000. As for now, there is no direct competitor for this car.

    December 17, 2014: Suzuki Motors has officially released the images of new hatchback Alto Kei. The car will first be launched in Japan on December 22, 2014 and then will make its way to other parts of the world. In terms of design, the front fascia of car gets kind of retro look with flat front and trapezoidal headlights.The new Suzuki Alto is powered by 3-cylinder, 660cc petrol engine tuned to develop an output of 54bhp with 63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. The company is also planning a sporty Alto Turbo RS variant in coming months.

    February 28th, 2015: Honda Cars India has released the fourth instalment of the stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma’s spree with the Honda Mobilio . In this 4th commercial Kapil is entertaining a large family. Earlier after the launch, Honda added two new trims to the existing variants of the MPV, a new top-of-the-line trim for both petrol and diesel – V(O) at a price of 9.46 lakh (petrol) and 10.45 lakh (diesel) and the diesel-only – RS(O) costs 11.55 lakh (All prices ex-showroom New Delhi). Mobilio currently features a total of 10 variants, namely, E,S,V and new-top-end V(O) (both for diesel and petrol) while diesel apart from this adds another two RS and RS(O).

    March 23, 2015:   Maruti Suzuki India is in the last stage of developing its small size hatchback Celerio in diesel guise and may launch it in coming April. The all new diesel will be a 800cc motor that is said to be made in-house at Maruti’s facility in Gurgaon. Maruti is caught testing the all new Celerio diesel in and around the Delhi NCR region. The new car is expected to be the most economical small size hatchback of the country. Other than a new diesel motor the all new car will be retaining features like music system with bluetooth connectivity, front and rear fog lamps, rear wiper, etc.

  • Tata Bolt

    March 04, 2015: Tata Motors marked its presence in the ongoing 2015 Geneva Motor Show by showcasing Tata Bolt Sport and two concept cars; Tata Hexa and ConnectNext. Powered by 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine, the Bolt Sport churns a max power of 120bhp with 170 Nm of peak torque. The car rides on 17-inch alloys with disc on all four wheels and features sunroof, sporty bumper, rear spoiler and all black interiors. Earlier in January 2015, Tata Motors has launched the Bolt hatch at Rs 4.44 Lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The hatch is made available in both the fuel trims with four variants in each petrol and diesel models. The online bookings for the Bolt are already open and can be booked with an amount of just INR 11,000. Though Bolt looks more-or-less like a modern evolution of the company's late 1990s launched Indica hatchback, but is ahead of any Indicas before, be it the most recent- Vista. Powering the Bolt, is a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) mill, good for 90 bhp and peak torque of 140 Nm and a 1.3-litre diesel unit, rated at 75 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. A five-speed manual gearbox will come as standard across all variants, with no AMT, even as optional.

  • Maruti Ciaz

    January 27, 2015: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the anticipated top-end Z+ trims of the Ciaz, the ZXI+ (Petrol) costs Rs. 9.81 Lac while the ZDI+ (Diesel) costs Rs. 10.37 Lac (All Ex-Showroom Prices New Delhi). The Z+ trims carries forward the goodies from the Z trims and adds a 7-inch touch screen 'SmartPlay' infotainment system with voice commands and navigation along with leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels.


    Earlier in December, Maruti Suzuki has recalled 3,796 units of Ciaz to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system, manufactured till 7 November. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost, and the dealers across the country have already started contacting the owners of impacted vehicles. For self checking, Ciaz customers can fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the MSI's official website '' to ascertain if their sedan is among the above mentioned vehicles or not.

    February 24, 2015 : Ford showcased the EcoSport S at the Geneva Motor Show. This new iteration of the compact SUV features various tuning and styling option the manufacturer plans to provide as an option. The new options also enable the owners to get the boot-lid mounted spare wheel removed. Though, the is no word that when these updates will make their way to India. Earlier, Ford has introduced SYNC with Ford AppLink in its best-selling compact SUV EcoSport. With the addition of this infotainment system, the passengers can now get updates from ESPN Cricinfo while on the move. The SYNC with Ford AppLink is offered on the Titanium variant of Ford EcoSport and is made available across all dealership in the country. The compact SUV is offered with two petrol engine options, namely the 125bhp-1.0 litre three cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine, Fiesta's 110bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder mill, and a 90bhp-1.5 litre four cylinder TDCi turbocharged engine for the diesel variants.

    February 27, 2015: The hybrid super-car BMW i8 has won the coveted UK car of the year - UKCOTY 2015 award. The i8 also won the the UKCOTY 2015 - Performance car of the year. Earlier last week, BMW India has rolled out the i8 for Indian audiences at a whopping price of Rs 2.29 crore. This is BMW's first plug-in hyrbid and features a 1.5 litre three cylinder engine along with a 131PS electric motor, which has been designed and built by BMW from scratch. The engine will be coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and the i8 will be a plug-in hybrid car which means you can charge it on the go from a suitable power source.

    February 3, 2015: The Tata Safari Storme and Mahindra Scorpio have passed army trials and may soon be inducted into the army in their new league of vehicles called the GS800. The bidding for the army tender will begin soon and is to the tune of Rs 500- Rs 750 crore. Though the vehicles will be based on the existing platforms, they will be tweaked to service the purpose of the army with mods such as blackout lights, convoy lamps, provision for ammunition etc. Of the 15 manufacturers who participated it's only the home grown manufacturers who made it to the final trials.

    February 12, 2015: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has launched new Petrol/ CNG bi-fuel version of its Amaze compact sedan, christened as Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus. Priced at INR 6.54 Lacs (including CNG kit installation) , the new variant is available from today onwards in the cities where the alternative fuel is on offer. The new variant has been specially tuned to run on CNG, the suspension has been tweaked, and a specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality, has been added.

  • Hyundai Grand i10

    February 06, 2015: Hyundai UK has introduced a new ‘Premium SE’ trim to the existing line up of the second generation i10 (the vehicle in India is christened as Grand i10). The Premium SE variant is available in both manual and automatic trim, prices starts from £11,995 (approximately Rs. 11.35 lac) for manual and £12,650 (approximately Rs. 11.97 lac) for automatic. Earlier in September 2014, Hyundai India had introduced a ‘SportZ Edition’ of the Grand i10 to celebrate its first anniversary in the country. The Grand i10 was launched in September 2013 and it already has over 1.1 lakh happy owners in India. The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ gets the 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as a standard, the other list of features include bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors too have been upgraded with fabric upholstery and crafted in tones of red. The SportZ is available with both 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel engines.

    February 23, 2015: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has launched the limited XUV500 Xclusive Edition at Rs 14.48 Lacs (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Xclusive edition is only available on the top-end variant W8 and only 700 units of this limited edition will be put on sale. On the premium luxury features, the Xclusive edition gets electric sunroof, convenient reverse camera, voice messaging system, sporty aluminium pedals, stylish grey alloy wheels, 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat (optional), illuminated scuff plates and anti-pinch driver window. There are no changes to the engine and the XUV500 is still powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine putting out 140 hp and 330 Nm of torque.

    December 17, 2014: 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift was spied recently and it is expected that the company will launch the updated MPV early next year.
