Audi A3, the next big thing from the German auto major has officially arrived in the automobile market. Its petrol version is powered by a 1.8-litre TFSI engine, while its diesel version comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. Its TFSI version is claimed to reach a 100 Kmph speed mark in 7.3 seconds, while its TDI version can do it in 8.6 seconds. On the other hand, it comes with smart features like a 7-inch MMI touchscreen, which is just 11mm in thickness. It provides interactive controls for audio, navigation, calls and several other functions related to this vehicle. The car maker also claims that this sedan comes with a class leading fuel efficiency with 20.38 Kmpl (for diesel) and 16.60 Kmpl (for petrol version). Even before it entered the country's car market, it has achieved the “World car of the year” award for 2014, which explains everything about this amazing sedan. The price range at which it is launched in the market will make it more competitive in the entry level luxury car segment.
Tata Motors has given a boost to the competition in the compact sedan segment by introducing its sub 4-meter sedan, Zest in the automobile market. This time around, the auto maker is making some aggressive marketing campaign for this vehicle. It also filmed an interesting TV commercial, which explains about its first-in-segment features like multi-drive modes and ConnectNext features. This sedan features a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment device designed by Harman that provides controls for automatic AC unit, music system along with visual guidance for parking. At the same time, it explains about its newly developed Revotron 1.2-litre petrol mill, which is capable of producing 88.76bhp along with a peak torque of 140Nm. On the other hand, its diesel version is powered by a 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine, which is available with 5-speed manual and F-Tronic automated transmission gearbox. This AMT gearbox is also accompanied by a “Sport” mode, which helps the motor to deliver sheer performance. The car maker also added a tag line, which says “Power the wings through the week, easy relaxing through the weekend” and it seems to be perfect for this latest compact sedan. It comes with several advanced aspects like a ninth generation ABS with EBD, cornering stability control, dual front SRS airbags, EPAS with active return function and projector headlamp including LED DRLs. These aspects will certainly make it more competitive in the automobile market.
Tata Zest , a compact sedan was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo and is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2014. This 5 seater car falls in the B+ sedan segment and targets the mid-budget buyers who are looking for such car at a low cost.
This car will be available in both petrol and diesel options. Blessed with a 1.3litre Quadrajet diesel engine, Tata Zest is built on Tata 's X1 platform and shares less styling bits with the existing Manza. Hyundai Motors has rolled out their much awaited hatchback, Elite i20 in the automobile market. This time around, the company has opted for new marketing strategy for this facelifted version by filming an action packed TVC. This refurbished version comes with an array of comfort features including a fully automatic AC unit, glove box chiller, rear parking sensors along with a camera and an electrochromic inside rear view mirror. At the same time, all the variants are now available with smart pedal as standard, which helps in improving fuel efficiency by cutting of fuel supply, when not required. This latest variant also comes with refined exteriors and interiors, which has changed its entire look. It will now lock horns with the likes of Maruti Swift, Volkwagen Polo, Renault Pulse, Nissan Micra and the upcoming Tata Bolt as well.
