Land Rover Cars in India

The British car manufacturing company was established in Gaydon, Warwickshire, United Kingdom in 1978. However, the first Land Rover car had already made its debut way back in 1948. The name 'Land Rover' was actually used by Rover Company for a specific model, which, as mentioned before, was launched in 1948. The company specialized in the manufacture of four-wheel-drive vehicles, which soon evolved into a marque that encompassed a range of 4WD cars, including the Defender, Discovery, Freelander, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and the Range Rover Evoque. The original Land Rover was dexterously designed and proficiently engineered for extreme capability and strength. With an extremely robust construction and characteristics, the Land Rover drove off the production-line, ready to take on some of the world’s toughest terrain. Today these qualities are as significant a part of what makes a Land Rover vehicle unique as they were sixty years ago. It is now the second oldest four-wheel-drive car brand in the world after Jeep. The Land Rover, along with Jaguar, was sold to Indian auto giant Tata Motors in March 2008.

The culture of innovation has developed with both Land Rover cars and Range Rover vehicles: new models, more refinement, more innovative technology, more efficiency and fewer emissions. And it continues with initiatives such as e_Terrain Technologies (which improves the environmental performance of vehicles by reducing CO2 emissions), Sustainable Manufacturing and CO2 Offsetting. Such is the dedication that there is little doubt that Land Rover cars will always remain at the forefront of advanced design and the new small Range Rover is a testament to the vision that takes the company forward and keeps it at the edge of technology and engineering. There have been three generations of Range Rover. The original, now known as the Classic, went on sale in 1970 and continued in production, with numerous upgrades and a multiplicity of variants, for 25 years. The second-generation vehicle, known as the P38a, went on sale in 1994 and was replaced in 2001 by the current model. The continuing success of the Range Rover lead other premium makers to jump into the booming luxury SUV market. The latest version of this Land Rover car has enjoyed higher annual sales than any previous models and continues to be popular around the world.

The company has established dealerships in each direction for Land Rover cars in India. There are four dealerships in north, one in east, five in west, and four dealerships in the south, making a total of fourteen dealerships for Land Rover cars in India.
