  June 17, 2013: Ford India which is all set to launch the much anticipated EcoSport compact SUV by June end, has now officially started taking pre-orders for the car, and the confirmation has come from the company itself. Ford has updated the same on EcoSport's official page, which statest that the Ford dealers across India has started taking bookings. While, some media reports claimed that the booking amount is Rs 50,000. This indicates that the launch of the SUV isn't very far. The vehicle will be offered in four trim levels, namely Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Optional and in a total 10 variants including an Automatic transmission version.

  8 December,2012: Suzuki unveiled the Grand Vitara facelift version in the Japanese market in July 2012 and since then this version in Australia,Russia and China. Finally the Japanese auto major has launched the newfangled Grand Vitara in UK. The vehicle is launched with a  full spare wheel with 225/70 tire on the tailgate which increases the length of the vehicle by 200mm on the five door models and 170mm on three door models.The cabin area bells and whistles have been borrowed from Ritz, SX4 and Swift. The seat design is trimmed and a 6.1 inch touchscreen Colour Navigation System have got on board. The music system supports CD, radio, SD card, media player connected via the USB port as well as Bluetooth streaming. The 1.9L DDiS engine is tweaked to increase the fuel efficiency and reduce environmental emission. The price is marked as £15,995 (Rs.13.96 Lakh). Maruti Suzuki India is mulling to locally produce this vehicle in future and is speculated to launch in the year 2013. Whether the 1.9L DDiS engine is going to make it to the Indian shores is still speculated, however the Vitara facelift is definitely going to heat up the already boiling SUV market.

  June 4, 2013: After making its global debut in Thailand a couple of months back, Nissan Micra has now been unveiled in the UK. The similar car is going to be launched in India as well, as Micra is a very important product in the company's Indian portfolio. Nissan Micra facelift has certainly got better in design and features than the outgoing model. However, there are no mechanical changes. The new Micra now gets new headlights, a new grille re-establishing a stronger link to Nissan's corporate look with the familiar circular badge ‘held' within a chromed extended V-shaped motif. The other exterior changes are revised bonnet, wings, fog lamps, front and rear bumpers, new LED tail lights and a panel at the bottom of the tailgate. Besides the changes mentioned before, 2013 Nissan Micra gets a new 15-inch alloy wheel design. Whether all the changes will also come in the India bound version as well is still unknown.

  May 2, 2013: British luxury car giant, Jaguar is now all set to launch the new F-Type Sports car in India sometime in July. Jaguar F-Type is likely to come up with two engine options- a V6 S and the V8 S. The V6 S is a 3.0-litre supercharged powertrain, capable of churning out the maximum power output of 375bhp. While the V8 S is a 5.0-litre supercharged petrol mill that produces 490bhp. Both the engines will be mated to an eight-speed transmission gearbox. Jaguar F-Type is the come back car for Jaguar in Sports car segment, as the E-type was the last car rolled out from the factory 38 years ago.

  May 14, 2013: Country's leading commercial vehicle maker, Ashok Leyland is planning to launch the Stile MPV on July 16, 2013 which is basically the same as Nissan Evalia. However, Ashok Leyland might price it lower than that of the Evalia. Ashok Leyland displayed the Stile UV at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo in Delhi. The MPV was to launch by 2012 end, but the launch delayed somehow. To attract feel operators, the Stile MPV would be launched in both diesel and CNG options. The diesel engine will be the same K9K diesel motor, which also does its duty to the Nissan Evalia.

Whereas, the B-Class Petrol variant houses the 4-cylinder, 1595cc, direct-injection, turbo motor mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch box, the diesel version will be powered by a 1.8-litre diesel engine.

The German car maker launched this model globally in 1994 and after attaining much success throughout the globe, this Audi car will see its dawn in India. However, Audi India will launch its sedan S6 during the second quarter of next year. As of now, the study is going on to introduce S6 in the Indian market.  Audi also plans to have dealers at 23 locations in India by the end of 2012. This will gradually boost up the sales and popularity of Audi cars in India. Audi S6 price will be higher than Audi A6 sedan. The former will be priced at about Rs 40 lakh in Indian market.
