Now being a Volkswagen this car has to be well-built, designed, robust and it is. Basically it is a polo with a boot and polo is the car that needs absolutely no introduction. Coming back to the vento it has got no unnecessary curves. elements it's a C-segment sedan with straight forward lines around the body and so is the case at the interior. Interior feels well built altogether no matter you accelerate the car brake hard or even push the car into the corner it's guaranteed that you wont hear those squicking and irritating noise at higher speed. Okay enough of the talking about build quality lets get to driving I own highline(manual) variant which is powered by 1.6L MPI engine (Petrol) car has a good amount of low end punch and is pretty okay for daily city commute and the car does not feel under power even at the steep inclined roads but when it passes 2500rpm mark the power starts to hit the car(petrol) you press the throttle and its always ready to go further and the power delivery is very linear no lags as such and the steering feedback and overall stability at higher speed is best in class. DSG is a complete different story TDI paired with a DSG gearbox is just unbeatable in the segment and also VW has added a TSI motor in the recent vento lineup with DSG gearbox which picks up pace like in no time in fact VW and Skoda are the only two manufacturers who offer DSG (direct shift gearbox as vw likes to call it) or essentially dual clutch setup which is the best for automatic fans out there. In short words its surely a drivers oriented car and much fun car to drive indeed. No car is 100% perfect so this brings me to the downside of the this very car the petrol engine does not feel as punchy as the TDI (diesel) engine the TDI is fun to drive motor especially when the turbo spools up it pulls the car linearly. At higher speed the cabin does not feel quite i experience quite a considerable amount of air noise from the A pillar even A/C sounds noisy at higher speed. The handling is great but a hydraulic unit would have been an icing on the cake.
